I love boba tea, and have traveled all over the world, trying it in different countries. You guys are doing it wrong.
#1) Your boba is not cooked! No one wants to bite into a mouth full of raw boba, that's horrible! Please don't just sit it in water, actually cook it first. The fact your boba is raw makes me sad. The center is so hard, and that is NOT how boba should be! If you do not cook it, the centers will not be chewy. That, to me, is so incredibly disappointing.
#2) Your boba is sweet, but your tea is not? Why do you not ask people if they want full sweet, half sweet, a little sweet, or no sweet? Boba tea is supposed to be fairly sweet, it is considered a dessert beverage in Asia. This is especially important for your Thai tea. This is one of my favorite types of tea, and the way you make it is very bitter. That was not what I was expecting in a Thai tea.
#3) You are using the wrong kind of tea for your milk teas. Although you technically "could" use regular American black teas, oolong tea, or at least an Asian black tea will give you a much better flavor for your milk tea, and other powders you probably have, like taro, and matcha, etc. It's an Asian drink, and Asian teas don't really cost any extra. You just have to know where to buy them.
#4) (Optional) You should invest in a sealer for your lids. Usually, when people get boba tea, it comes in a cup with a plastic film sealed lid, so people can shake their tea before they drink it. When they put the straw in, there is a satisfying "pop" sound. It just adds to the overall experience.
Please, please, please... at least cook the boba, so it can be chewy instead of hard. Serving people raw boba is just messed...
Read moreI refuse to go here from now on unless I know the worker. All the workers tend to over charge. I went there at 2:24 today and got 2 blended mochas (20 oz) one mocha(16 oz- 3.25) which are 3.50 a piece, with 2 hot cocoas that are 2.50 a piece. They tried charging me 19.87 . Then we told them we have military discount and she goes oh okay and takes 1 dollar off. ( every other time we have went in with military discount it was at very least 3 dollars off or 30%) I told her that that’s not right and we always get more off. She then takes 4.07 off and everything was okay. I always get texted recipes, so when that one showed up it charged me for 6 different drinks. I had to drive back to the store to get $4.13 back. I took off again and turned to my boyfriend to ask for a drink of my drink and when he handed it to me it was a quarter the way gone. No one took a drink of it considering it was on the floor next to their feet. I am very disappointed in them for this awful service. Not to mention that the lady working today threw the money...
Read moreI'm only rating based off of the one thing I've tried, which is the boba.
They have the usual variety of flavored "popping boba pearls" that a lot of places carry (I'm not a fan, but options are options). They are however, the only stand in the CDA/Post Falls/Hayden area that I can find serving real boba. If there was some competition, I may not give 5 stars, but for now, they are the best in the area.
They don't seem to make their own from scratch like the Canton Chinese restaurant does down on 4th st., but it's a very consistent, quick and easy access boba. *Note that it is a sweetened boba pearl (my personal favorite), unlike Canton's offering (also good), which is plain.
Their tea base offerings are (last I was in) black tea, green tea and Thai tea, all with a wide variety of flavors to add. My personal recommendation is black tea with...
