I love this place, but my experience just now was not good customer service. Tried looking through the cupcake ice cream treats and was told by the guy working that I can't look in there. I had to ask him why and he just said if a lot of people open it then it starts to melt. Which is understandable (though when I worked there we never had that problem) but I told him I just wanted to see what flavors they had and he didn't really respond. Just kept rolling up the rugs for closing which was kind of rude (also at this time of night nothing is going to melt with one person opening it for a minute). Good customer service would be to have offered to help me pick something out or have tried to help in some way if that was the case. I ended up leaving, which since they were all busy closing they probably wanted anyways. I've worked here, I get it, you want to close and leave for the night, but that doesn't mean you stop giving great customer service at a certain time. I miss the lady who used to work afternoons in this shop, she was amazing and helpful and definitely would have...
Read moreMy son and I went recently and had a great experience! Staff was friendly and efficient, ice cream was good as always. I see reviews in the past year or so are all over the place, and I have to say a good part of that may be due to the staffing crisis and the economic downturn. People are working jobs they may not have experience in and it's a big learning curve for more people than it has been historically, so there are fewer experienced staff to train and mentor new staff. I think customers should take this into consideration and rate service based on what's normal at the time, and be thankful you're still getting service and be nice even when it isn't perfect. People learn, as evidenced by the fact that the service we got recently was great. I'm happy local businesses are doing what they can to stay open so that, when I want an ice cream or whatever, these things are...
Read moreIce cream was great, but the entire staff needs a lesson in customer service and manners. I took my sons in today to celebrate the end of the school year. My youngest ordered a cone was about to ask for a topping for it, not realizing he couldn't do that, and the women behind the counter snapped at him that they don't put toppings on cones. She was extremely rude for something that could have been politely said with no issues. Then I am paying and a second women is ringing me out. She was snotty over the shake I ordered and then rude when I replied that I didn't want my receipt. We were not greeted with the traditional, "Welcome" or "Hello" nor did we receive a, "Thanks for coming in" or "Have a nice day." Manners go a long ways in any business and I would rather spend my money at a location that teaches it's employees the power of customer service...
