Best Ave BBQ Boys: Smoke, Meat, and the Gospel of Fire
Barbecue is a religion. Some places preach it. Some places bastardize it. And then there are the true believers—the ones who don’t need to sermonize because their food does all the talking. Best Ave BBQ Boys is one of those places.
I ordered the Tri-Tip Sandwich, and the moment I took that first bite, I knew I was in the hands of pitmasters who respect the craft. The meat—oh, the meat—was tender in a way that suggests time, patience, and an almost spiritual understanding of fire and flesh. Smoky, but not overpowering. Bold, but not obnoxious. These guys have found the delicate, elusive balance between too much and not enough, and they hold the line like guardians of the old ways.
Then there’s the BBQ sauce—not some sickly-sweet, store-bought sugar bomb, but a proper, house-made concoction that clings to the meat like a well-rehearsed dance partner. Tangy, rich, smoky—it doesn’t just complement the sandwich; it elevates it. And let’s talk about the hoagie roll. So many barbecue joints treat bread as an afterthought, but not here. This one held up like a champion—sturdy, yet yielding, doing its job without getting in the way.
Service? Friendly. Fast. No nonsense. Two minutes from order to table. Because when you know exactly what you’re doing, there’s no need for delay.
This isn’t just a place that serves barbecue. This is a place that understands barbecue. And that, my friends, is worth coming back for. Again. And again. And again.

Read moreMy husband and I stopped at this stand at 2:30pm on April 18th to try it out for the first time, we were the only people there and the person working the stand was sitting on his phone ignoring us. He didn't greet my husband or acknowledge him in anyway. When my husband started asking a few questions about the menu, as it was our first time there, the guy continued to stare at reels on his phone and gave vague unhelpful answers about everything. After a few attempts at trying to learn anything about the menu my husband walked back to the car and we left. If you are going to run a business where interaction, communication and courtesy are required then I suggest you find people to work there that are willing to not sit on their phone and actually talk to your customers. We will not be returning to even try the food. Work on your customer service if you actually want to stay...
Read moreThis was some of the very best tri-tip I have ever had. I loved the smoke flaver, and it was so tender. The bbq sauce was a bit spicy (just how I like it), but if you don't, ask for it on the side. The guys working there the day I ate, there were two of the nicest guys you can find. One of them noticed my dog in the truck and asked if she was on a restricted diet. When I said no, he told the other guy to throw in a special treat for her. What a great place. I would highly recommend this place if you like bbq. They even offer a military and first...
