"Ah, Coeur d'Alene, the gem of outdoor hangouts, and then there's Pete... If he were a cocktail, he'd be a blend of sour grapes and expired kombucha. Yep, like the early reviewer mentioned, Pete's real talent lies in being actual trash. You know, if there was a 'Worst Bartender of the Year' award, I'm pretty sure Pete would hold the crown high and mighty.
The Boardwalk Bar, where college hipsters and tourists gather to witness Pete's snippy joke parade. It's like he's auditioning for a stand-up comedy gig, but sadly, he never got the memo that being funny requires, well, actually being funny.
Now, if we could tolerate Pete's comedy debacle, it might've been alright if the drinks were worth the investment. I mean, we didn't expect a free ticket to Margaritaville, but come on, at least give us something better than a watered-down kiddie cocktail. I asked for a double gin and tonic, and Pete, in his grand wisdom, pointed out that it would cost double. Bravo, Captain Obvious! But guess what? He must've confused 'double' with 'microscopic' because that's what my drink turned out to be - barely a single.
Oh, and let's not forget my partner's huckleberry lemonade. It was alright, but hey Pete, we didn't pay top dollar for just 'alright.' If I wanted mediocre, I'd go raid my grandma's 50-year-old cookbook.
So, dear reader, if you enjoy wasting your precious time and hard-earned money on subpar drinks and a 'comedian' with the humor of a wilted lettuce, by all means, visit this place. But if you have an ounce of self-respect and a desire to experience actual enjoyment, steer clear of this Pete-infested pit of disappointment. Your taste buds and sanity...

The bartender (receipt said Pete B.) saw our group and immediately came off as overwhelmed and stressed even though when we walked up there wasnât anyone in line but us. He instantly told us he canât do separate checks when we told him we werenât paying cash which made no sense to me as we were all going to order one at a time anyways. As we were trying to figure out how to do payment (couldnât have been more than 6 seconds) he started rushing us and basically said screw it, order together and figure out the payments later. I found the attitude to be unacceptable for servicing people.
He made the drinks very quickly but then told us to go wait in the back and he would give us our cards after he cleared the now line that formed after us⌠so we had to wait at least 10 minutes after receiving our drinks to get our cards back which I did not like whatsoever. Just take 15 seconds to run the cards and give us our receipts so we can be on our way and not stockpiling behind the bar.
The Huckleberry Lemonade was solid for $11, no complaints on the drink, just...
