We visited capones and ordered a pizza, which was okay. Throughout the date we noticed some things that were mind boggling.. I asked for some ranch, which never came. So I politely asked another staff member for some at the bar. At this time I noticed why. So my date and I began observing the staff. Tabitha was non stop hustling from serving tables, bar backing, plate prepping dishes to bring out, filling drinks, and I was impressed so much that I personally made it a point to let her know my date and I appreciated her hard work and ethic. But, then the problem was revealed and it was painfully obvious, the kitchen staff. I watched team member with glasses and a hat fumble tickets and drink his drink for 7:42 minutes then another time for 8:21 minutes.. yes we actually timed it. Did zero to help anyone, litteraly was just distracting other staff and rearranging tickets over and over. We then observed another team member with a beard generally behind him eating food while cooking, and same general lazy demeanor. Then 2 more staff popped up and they all 4 enjoyed some lengthy conversation. They noticed we were watching and began acting like they were busy. I was irritated and they obviously knew it. as a former franchise manager I can tell you that your problem with delayed service falls directly on poor kitchen staff efficiency. And even more so NO management on site to ensure this buisness is being ran efficiently. Tabitha set the bar for what others should follow and it's appauls me to see her covering for her coworkers absolute disregard for the restaurant they cook for. I have never in my life witnessed such a lackluster kitchen team completely unmanaged and free to do what they wanted while cooking my food (eating and cooking customer food is a serious health violation). For spending 85.00 on a pizza and wine this was unacceptable for a place that had such a great reputation. Dont let poor staff ruin a good thing, they need to go. This isn't coachable, if I was the owner they would be terminated for time fraud and health...

Original Review: I think Capone’s is a good Rorschach test of people’s temperaments. If you don’t like it, you are likely experiencing an off night or being a bit of a ding-dong. If you like it, you are a local or a long-time customer who understands what it does, and doesn’t, do. If you love it, well, you are a fan. Good for you.
I am a fan who likes it. Some items aren’t great. Others are amazing . . . for what they are described as being. The Idaho Nachos? Simple bar food that does exactly what it should. Some of the pizzas? Slightly different from what I am used to eating, but amazing when they slide onto the table. I wouldn’t drink wine here. But the beer selection is good.
I find the servers to be generally amazing, especially considering the crowds with which they deal. I find the prices to be reasonable. I keep coming back. And I will continue to do so.
Some of the negative reviews--and they are thankfully overshadowed by the positive four- and five-star reviews--read as if they were written by people with keyboards missing keys. Others read like bougie people showing their ‘know-it-all’ because this place is local or was featured on DDD. And the rest of breathless negative reviews? Yeah, I am sure there have been misses here. It happens. Take a breath. Try it again. Then consider what you want to write. But knuckle-dragging your snot-negative reviews onto Google doesn’t make the world a better place. You also end up seeming like . . . well, you know.
Capone’s is a great local place. It does what it suggests. It can be loud. It can be busy. But both of those things suggest why you should try it if you want a local hang that isn’t dripping in...
Read moreThe worst hostess in the world and her waitress friend who we over heard telling her that no one was forcing us to stay goes right along with her. We had a party of six. Hostess said it would be awhile, inwhich that was fine. So while waiting, we asked her about the tshirts. That's when things started going down hill. Hostess seemed annoyed and said I think they're $20 I'll have to check but I'm stacking mask right now. I'm looking around and noticing quite a few 4 tops avail. So I asked about putting a chair on both ends and making it a six top. Her answer was a quick NOPE i can't the owners are here. Im still kinda puzzled about her and wondering what the heck we did to deserve her bad attitude. Then she says to us to stand back and that we're getting in the way. Ok now it's time to locate manager and put an end to this BS. I explained what was happening and that we didn't mind waiting, but we were not going to stand for the hostesses treatment and the lack of willingness to do her job. At that point I was pretty much done with this place and said we're leaving. He asked us to please stay and that he would immediately resolve the seating/table issue and have a talk with the two mentioned employees. Now, here's the good part. We were seated and greeted by an awesome waiter. I apologize. I forgot his name. But everything from the food ( pizza and wings.....and of course beer was very good. Even the patrons from the table next to us joined in with great conversation and laughter. The night was saved by the manager, waiter and kitchen...
