Well after being seated and ignored due to the busy rush which was fine I sat listening to my friend complain about how he'd rather be at a buffet. as I am a total snob I refused to budge on my choice to eat here. However once our drinks and order was taken we saw our waitress unprofessionally bullied her co worker for bringing our table water after arguing with her in the middle of taking another tables order she finally puts her order in and finally gets to our table. she takes our orders gets our drinks and proceeds to very rudely throw a straw at my friend.... we all work in the food industry we tip extremely well and enjoy our time dining out and appreciate any food workers. this lady's attitude lack of ability to smile and pure evilness to her co worker for simply giving us water.. interrupted her order ro argue with her... so long story short after seeing the straw fly towards JCs face we all had a look of disgust got up walked out and went to the buffet down the road. that treatment to customers and co workers is insane to me. the food at the buffet wasn't the best I would have rather dined with you but attitude is everything. we are all human
Added a lovely picture of my satisfied fed friend.

Read moreWe enjoyed our very sweet attentive waitress, Shirley. However we didn't have the heart to tell her we were not nearly as impressed as we had been in the past with quality of food this time. Maybe because we were served by the very charming owner, he made sure quality was tip top! Right at beginning the apetizeres, calimari and salt and pepper shrimp were very dried out over cooked and very very salty!! And the portions were rather small to boot! Probably a good thing because they were so un-appetizing! Our main dishes consisted of House Chowmain and Egg fooyung and a mixed veggie beef dish. The Egg fooyung was very odd, served as one big fat spongy square, cut into 4ths with 2-3 table spoons of strange dark reddish brown sause, not at all a traditional presentation. The Chowmain was definitely not traditional or did it look like what was pictured on the menu. It consisted primarily of a big pile of dark noodles like spaghetti (more like lomain) and a very few slithers of pork, chicken and a few shrimp, virtually no veggies to speak of except tiny bits of cabage and none of the traditional mung beans and slices of cellary with a light colored corn starch gravey. The beef veggie dish was very delicious, thank goodness, at least 1 out of 5 dishes impressed us! Sorry to say however we won't be going back again for some...
Read moreThe hotel desk clerk highly recommended Chinatown. The pizza delivery man overheard our conversation, and raved about the food and portion sizes. I thought, why not? I called in my order, and was under the minimum amount for delivery. But as luck would have it, my hotel is immediately across the street and the minimum was waved. The nice lady who took my order even waved the delivery fee. On a $12.61 [including tax] order, I gave a $5 tip to the young man who delivered it. Why not; I saved the delivery fee after all.
The small won ton soup ($2.95) was indeed small. Two won tons, the usual veggies and delicious broth. Well worth it. The House Canton-style fried rice ($8.95) had four large shrimp, BBQ pork, chicken, fried egg and scallions. It was in a small Styrofoam container the size of a child’s hamburger. I thought, well I did order small. It must be some sort of Chinese restaurant magic, because there’s no way ALL that fried rice should have fit in that small box! It was ab-fab delicious, and the portion was so large that I simply could not finish it.
The food was outstanding. The order-taker was friendly, polite and generous to this elderly, tired, out-of-state traveler. The delivery man was polite and well groomed. Next time I have to drive through Coeur d’Alene, I will most assuredly stop at...
