Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Coeur d'Alene

Normally I don't leave reviews if there's teenagers involved because they don't generally care, but the service here was horrible. The brunette girl was very rude and short with me while I was ordering my ice cream. When I asked a question of whether or not I can have two flavors, she said "umm yea??" I brushed it off cause I just wanted to get my ice cream. My friend was served by a blonde gal who was actually very nice, and the only reason I gave the review a second star. But after my friend and I got our ice cream, we sat down for a minute to eat our ice cream. We sat down at probably 8:20pm, with the understanding that the restaurant closed at 9pm. We had intended on just staying until 8:45 at the latest, but at 8:30, a male employee with curly red hair came up to me and my friend and a family of 4 and said "You guys need to disperse somewhere else, we want to close our lobby down", then to another family of 3 and said "were trying to close our lobby, you guys need to eat your ice cream somewhere else" He was walking back to the employee door and looked at all of us and said "you all need to start heading out" and gestured his hands to show us getting up. My friend and I got up and left, but were in shock of how rude that employee was. I have never heard of or experienced being kicked out of a restaurant 30 minutes before closing, especially in such a rude manner. I never stay or go to restaurants so late, and we weren't planning on staying late, but this was ridiculous. Kicking out 8 people as they were eating for a few minutes...won't be coming back, I would rather...

5.27.25: It was my first time visiting this location as I had lunch nearby at Meltz Extreme Grilled Cheese and afterwards wanted something sweet. Since it was a nice warm day, ice cream sounded great to cool off. When we walked in, we were greeted with a smile. I hadn't been to a Cold Stone in quite some time but my favorite is the Birthday Cake Remix. It has cake batter ice cream with mix ins of rainbow sprinkles, fudge, and brownie chunks. And of course I got it in a waffle bowl. Love that they make their waffle bowls in-house. They're thick, sturdy, and really yummy--like a fortune cookie but sweeter! Plus, it's always fun watching your ice cream being made before you eyes. I'm happy I chose Birthday Cake Remix as it was just as delicious as I remembered.

I didn't catch the employee's name, but she was really nice and appeared to be the only one working while I was there. The store was clean and brightly lit and it wasn't very busy. They have a seasonal special that looks delicious and will likely try that next...

This was my first time at cold stone ice cream and to say the least it was a horrible experience. I walked in and asked one question to the worker behind and the counter and immediately was met with horrible attitude. I felt like I was an inconvenience for taking more than 10 seconds to chose my ice cream. After checking out me and my friend got confused on why my smaller sized ice cream was more money than hers which was a bigger size. While looking at the menu to check, the workers said to us that we were obviously talking about them and rudely asked if we needed a receipt even though we repeated we were just looking at menu. They kept rolling their eyes and whispering about me and my friend. Honestly just horrible customer service and which was very avoidable. Unnecessary and unneeded rudeness which really just made me never want...
