Off the main path, literally just a bit off Sherman down 5th street. It has a great vibe that a coffee shop should have. Music and conversations fill the air, but they all blend together, and it still feels private. It's a decent size space with plenty of room. Seating along the window, comfy couch, laid back side chairs along with a large center table and individual tables along the north wall. The coffee. The important part. It's freaking delicious. Along with your standard that every coffee shop serves, they have some signature drinks that are worth trying as well. If you like dark chocolate, try the dark chocolate mocha. If you are accustomed to the burnt coffee taste that rhymes with $ar-bucks this will be a fresh adventure. The coffee here is fresh and you can taste the flavor as they source their own beans. A daily selection of hand pies if you're looking for a bite to eat along with some gluten free and vegan cookies too.

In a Market saturated with Superb Coffee and Excellent Food, Evans Brothers Coffee Shines through in phenomenal fashion. Paired with Bean & Pie all in one space, Evans Brothers produces the most excellent of cups full of flavorful coffee from around the world. It won't disappoint. I've had the pleasure of tasting quite the variety of roasts and am never disappointed even by the coffee that's not in my wheel house. The best pour overs around hands down, test their knowledge, I dare you. After pleasantly sipping sweet toasty bright coffee enjoy an in house hand pie or slice of quiche for breakfast. I promise you it's delicious. There's just nothing bad you can say about Evan's Brothers from the quality and flavor of the products to the customer service and the ambience of the Cafe. It's just perfection all around.

Good coffee. This joint was an oasis for me as I was passing through Coeur D'Alene. It was hot, and uncomfortable, plus, I need to get my fix. I spotted this coffee shop as I was walking around downtown Coeur D'Alene. The cortado was good. The ambiance was good, so was the service. There is one thing I didn't like about this coffee: paying for stickers. These were good looking stickers. So, I payed for them. I tend to collect these stickers during my trips, so, I would have wished that they were free of charge. It's good publicity. Evans Brothers, what do y'all think about my suggestion?

There’s something instantly welcoming about Evans Brothers Coffee—the kind of place where the baristas are clearly passionate, and the energy is just right for either catching up with a friend or settling in to get some work done. The environment strikes that perfect balance: plenty of seating, clever use of space, and a general sense of calm (bonus points for the sparkling-clean bathrooms and thoughtfully placed power outlets).

Let’s talk coffee—because that’s where Evans Brothers really shines. I tried a few different drinks, and each one stood out. My custom iced drink (oat milk, cinnamon, and honey) was made with care and absolutely hit the spot—refreshing, subtly sweet, and perfectly balanced. I also had a cherry-infused cold brew topped with a thick, luxurious cold foam. The cherry flavor was subtle and never overpowering—not overly sweet or tart, just smooth and genuinely enjoyable.

For me, the real test of a coffee shop is always the cortado. Evans Brothers nailed it. The espresso was rich and savory with none of that bitterness or sourness you sometimes find elsewhere. The milk was just right—not too much foam, not too little. It’s the kind of drink you want to sip slowly and savor.

I did grab a s’mores cookie from the bakery case. Honestly? It didn’t wow me, but I didn’t regret trying it either—sometimes you just want a treat with your coffee.

All in all, Evans Brothers is the sort of local spot that gets the details right—friendly service, great coffee, and a space that feels like it’s made for you to linger. Highly recommend stopping in, whether you’re a local or just...

We saw Mary West's 1 star review that commented she would have given more stars if not for the mandatory mask rule. Thank you Mary for the review. It was that review which prompted us to try Evans Brothers Coffee this A.M. we were impressed by all staff not only wearing masks, but wearing them correctly with their nostrils and mouth covered. I mean whats the point of a mask if you keep 66% of your breathing orifices uncovered? Our Barista measured out all the ingredients on a scale...talk about detail oriented. The drinks were great. I was surprised by how the Autumn Haze name truly captured the flavor of that latte. Another reviewer commented on how the pie she tried was just sugar and butter. We personally thought the huckleberry pie was great. The right amount of filling and a nice tang to balance the sweetness. The crust part of the pie was buttery...but I'm pretty sire thats what makes a pie a pie...a nice flaky buttery crust.

Overall I give Evans Brothers Coffee a...

None of my family members (and I have dozens) frequent coffee shops or downtown CDA so we’d never been but my Aunt, who was visiting from CA for the first time and was so impressed by CDA had to be the one to experience Evans Bros. She wanted to treat us to coffee so her and another aunt went there. She complimented the “employee of the month” for his award and both aunts were taken aback by his cold response. Then, they returned with the coffee and realized one iced coffee was missing the cream and the coffee was so bitter not even the black drinkers would drink it or the ones they received. Us froo-drop blended drinkers had to make do with iced mochas because they didn’t have a blender?!? First time for everything I guess. At least the three of us were able to drink it because of the cream and flavor but not one of the 8-10 family members were happy with their order. I think we will send any guests to the vault instead, as they are always...
