Great Corner Neighborhood Breakfast & Lunch Establishment

I’m visiting from FL staying at the Couer d’Alene Resort. I like to visit the nearby local places slightly off the beaten path. Local joints can be the best or the worst. This is in the Best category. Prices are very reasonable especially for the quality. I sampled the breakfast fare and ordered the breakfast burrito in Quesadilla form and had the fired up (spicy) version. I chose their special sausage as the meat. It was amazing! The sausage was unique but not in a weird way and it was extremely tasty. The quesadilla skins were grilled to crispy perfection, the heat was just right. Hot enough to get your attention but in a satisfying way that let you taste all of the flavors. Crispy on the outside, soft inside with just the right amount of cheese and chew. The potatoes were dark golden perfection they had a great tasty bark with a significant but pleasant crispiness and the meat of the potato was tender, moist and flavorful. Service was friendly and fast. Coffee was above average and refills came w/o having to ask. The outside of the building is unassuming but hey, it’s a local neighborhood joint that’s the beauty of it. There’s Enclosed outside seating for 11 with 4 additional Seats at a makeshift counter installed on the wood enclosure. There’s ample shade from three trees plus every table has an umbrella. Inside there’s seating for 20. The white table linens dress it up nicely. I live just a block from here and we've been several times. I will hopefully get to change my review next time I go to something better. Our whole experience was pretty bad this last time. The waiter was rude and had unnecessary attitude. Maybe he assumed we were from out of state or something, but he really wasn't interested in serving us. We didn't complain about anything and we were kind. The only extra thing we asked for were some napkins. We never got them🤷‍♀️ He did seem nice to the regulars though. Our food took 45 mins to get to us and it was dry and cold. I think the main concern and issue we had was the bugs. We sat at the table closest to the door and we had about 2 dozen little beetles crawling around us. I smashed several, but some got in our food and it was a yucky experience.
