AMAZING!!!
The tonkotsu ramen was absolute perfection! The broth was so rich and delicious. I've been to Japan myself for about a month, as well as several other East Asian countries, and lived in China for over a year. I know my Asian noodle soups quite well, I ate them all the time while living overseas. The umami flavors reminded me so much of being right back in Japan! It was like taking a flight in my mind.
I can say, with confidence, the ramen dishes here, as well as the other items on the menu, are all 100% authentic. There's so much love and cultural pride in every bite. It's so good, I ate every last drop in eagerness! Moreover, they served the appetizers nice and hot, at the exact perfect temperature as well. The chicken karaage and shrimp tempura was also perfectly juicy and tender inside. All of which brought maximum comfort to the dining experience.
If you're looking for some of the best Japanese cuisine in the Pacific Northwest, come here! You won't regret it!!! This is a MUST if you're looking for an excellent Japanese eatery for tonight's dinner! I was so impressed, and the staff are all SO FRIENDLY, too! I love it! Definitely a new favorite! Plus, the store is so clean and polished looking.
Everything about this place showed they truly cared what they were doing, and how you felt being there. I wouldn't be surprised if they're featured in the news soon as a new, up-and-coming star taking over in the culinary market, they're that freaking good! Although they only opened in September 2021, I think they're going to become VERY popular, VERY quickly! They have all the right ingredients for great success!
I've also been wishing for a decent boba tea shop in this area for years, and they even have a pretty nice selection for that, too?! The brown sugar caramel tea is so fragrant and tasty. I'm a huge fan of jasmine and oolong teas, and it really hit the spot. Guaranteed the best place in Coeur d'Alene for boba, hands down. They used a quality jasmine tea, and it showed through in this drink. Seriously, you guys are AWESOME!!!
❤️❤️❤️ Hooray for Hokkaido!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Read moreOrdered online: Spicy Ramen (Level 3 Hot and added fish cakes) & Gyoza
*Spicyholics should note that L3 is actually really hot and they spread extra spice on the side so you have control over how much more heat you add
Spicy Ramen: I liked it a lot! Normal size portion compared to other restaurants I've been to. The sliced beef was fine but not the most flavorful so I really wish they had pork belly. The fish cakes I added were good. Broth had strong heat and great rich flavor. The egg was SO CREAMY omg and I was stoked to get a whole egg as usually from my experience you only get half.
Gyoza: really good as well! 6 pot stickers for $5 is a great deal! Haven't had mixed chicken & pork and I loved it!
My only reason for not 5 stars is my order confirmation said to be there at a certain time and I arrived like a minute after, made the 5 min drive home and my food was room temperature so that was a bummer that their online ordering system doesn't alert you when it's ready because my order had to have been sitting for a while.
Def goin back but I have my eye on trying the tonkatsu...
Read moreI have eaten at several Hokkaido Ramen locations and always had a good experience. This one was terrible! While we were ordering the cashier answered the phone and stopped helping us. He didn't excuse himself or say apologize. He was extremely rude to the person who called and when he hung up said "okay you can finish ordering"
The benches in the restaurant Re disgusting, covered with food splatters and spilled drinks. The chopsticks, spoons and forks are on the table in canisters with the handle side down. It is impossible to get the utensils without touching all the rest of them. It was gross to think about all the other people whose hands had touched my chopsticks and fork. This could be an easy fix to put the handle side up.
Service was horrible! They brought us someone else's food. We took the bowl and put our chopsticks in it before they realized it was meant for another table. They still gave that food to another table. We had already used our chopsticks for the...
