Well, you know what they say.."If life gives you lemons, mix them in your drink!" This is a review of Redemption! Some time ago, we went to celebrate my daughter's birthday (surprise) at MKRP. Let's just say things didn't go as planned. BUT... it was ALL made RIGHT! 1st issue was that the party room was doubled booked. So, when we were sat in the corner of the bar, we were a bit shocked. BUT, management took responsibility and absolutely made it"right." We had a wonderful waiter! He was kind, patient, understanding, and playful with our group. He seemed to be more than happy to give us some appetizers on the house to make up for the party room mix-up. So... when we left, unfortunately, some of the birthday gifts had been left behind. My daughter reached out to the restaurant a day or 2 later. She spoke to the manager, who informed her that he had her gifts!! Yay! 2nd issue. A few days later, my daughter went by to pick up her gifts, only to be told , " They were here. But we don't know where they are now. And the manager isn't here today. " Let's fast fwd through my daughter calling back to speak to the manager, me (mom), stopping by, and speaking with the manager personally... To (I assume an area manager) personally reaching out to my daughter, I believe through social media, stating that he wanted to "make it right."

In the end, not only did He "make it right," but the manager also sent her a gift certificate with an additional apology for the missing gifts.

I have always believed that respect is earned. With that said, MKRP has earned my respect and patronage with the way they stood up, took responsibility, and, in the end, handled both situations!

Used to be our favorite restaurant. Even gave it a second chance and it was confirmation for me that we will never be coming back. I have $40 in rewards that will have to go to waste. Everything has gone extremely downhill. We had been here a dozen of times and on our 2nd to last visit our appetizer came out after a hour of waiting and was ice cold. For reference it was the black and bleu steak bites. They told us they’d remake it. They sent it back out and the steak was warm but the cheese was ice cold and solidified. This is a hot dish we’ve had probably 6 times before. After a hour waiting just for the appetizer alone, mind you they were not busy AT ALL as it was a weekday, before dinner rush. We ended up leaving and cancelling the rest of the food. Fast forward 4 months…… I had family in town and decided to give them another shot since we have loved them for so long prior to that occurrence. I was eager to treat my family to the restaurant but we did not even get seated. 8 of us piled into the front and it took 15 minutes to even be greeted. Once the hostess greeted us and asked how many she said let me go check and never came back. 10 more minutes went by and she was no where in sight so we left and went to Olive Garden. 25 minutes wasted and there was probably only 3 other tables eating. This is totally unacceptable for a Friday at 4pm. This was the last straw for me… we will never be eating here or wasting our time again. It’s a shame because this used to be my family’s favorite restaurant and we’d eat here 2-3 times a week. I don’t know if the management changed or what but this is not the MacKenzie River...

I’ve been here twice in the last two months. The last time I ordered bison chili which I was really excited about and my mom ordered a panini. Both came out literally cold, I wouldn’t even say it was room temperature. The waitress was kind and replaced both of our meals for a hot order. The second time I came here the patio was closed so you’re forced to sit inside. It smelled strongly like old mop water and mildewed rags. The bathroom was repulsive, there’s some kind of brown mildew growing around the sink knobs. I have no idea when the last time they mopped in that entire restaurant was, mind you with a CLEAN mop head. Our nacho appetizer came out as crumbs as though from the bottom of a chip bag, there might’ve been 5 whole chips on the plate on the top. There were several, yes 7+ tables, that had not been bussed the whole time we were in the restaurant. The server/bartender got both of my orders wrong, even after he asked me to repeat and confirm what I requested. No ice in my drink and no cheese on my salad, pretty simple requests I thought. He also made us wait about 15min to get the check while having casual conversation at the bar right across from our table. Poor prioritization imo. The service was nice, and the pizza is literally the only decent food on the menu. I will never come back here and I 100% would not recommend it to anyone wanting a decent meal in a clean place. I understand staff shortages but there’s clearly a combination of lack of leadership and lack of work ethic and a huge lack of quality. I’ve eaten better meals at chili’s and that’s...
