McDonald's — Restaurant in Coeur d'Alene

Clean, good food (for a McDonald's). Only negative is the new ordering kiosks that are starting to pop up. They are just horrible. Takes SO MUCH MORE TIME to try to get an order in and you can't get specials to work on them so you also end up paying more. People come to these places for "fast food"... We were here twice in one day on our road trip to and from Silverwood. In the late evening on the way back there was a father and son standing and putting in their order in the kiosk when we arrived. No help/workers at the cash registers so kiosk was only option. We (3 of us, including 2 very indecisive little girls) stood looking at the menu trying to decide what to order for several minutes. The girls were excited and wanted to order from the kiosks. I knew better because I've been down this road before. We got started and it was taking forever so I just went and stood in front of a register hoping someone would come to take our order (father & son STILL at ordering kiosk along with the girls still trying to put our order into another one). After several minutes an employee came up and took the order from me (less than a minute to make the order). We took our order number and went and found a seat. Then went to the bathroom to prepare for the rest of our road trip (having on one piece swimsuits makes this a much longer ordeal). When we finally emerged.... the father and son were STILL trying to place an order on the kiosk. I stood at the front waiting for our order. We received it and just as we were starting to leave, the father and son went up to the counter to order after becoming frustrated at not being able to get their order right on the kiosk. The lines were starting to build up at the kiosks... for orders that could have been cared for in minutes by employees at the register. Stop taking work away from people who actually want to and can do it. The whole kiosk thing isn't working (at ANY McDonald's). Great location......

I went to McDonald's on way home to Lewiston on 4-18-2022 the employee was not dressed in work clothes or professional in any way.he messed my up completely didn't read it back to me and to make things even worse is how sloppy they prepare customers orders. he handed my child his happy meal and then handed me my bag of food for my parents and myself. I opened my bag and it was so sloppy inside. He put my unsalted fries in the bag with my salted fries the 3 fries were spilted inside my bag they put my napkins in the bottom of the bag and they soaked in grease the cheeseburgers were not wrapped all the way. I told the employee this the sloppiest meal I've ever seen and you get paid $16 a hour so he offered to rebag my food and I said no I don't have time to teach you how to do your job. Then my son's happy meal was made into a sloppy job as well.Then 2 employees got into a fight behind the counter because the other employee didn't call him by his name so that employee whose name is chase got mad about it. This McDonald's is very unprofessional and I wouldn't recommend going to them at all. The employees need to wear uniforms to work not blue jeans...

Can I get some fries with your customer service?

Awaiting an oil change from a nearby automotive shop, I decided to swing into McDonalds with my infant in her pram while I waited. While I'm in the lobby, a terribly cantankerous lady (the manager I think?) Comes up and demands to know how on earth I got in, 'cause our lobby is closed, that's kinda what the signs on the door are for.

Stunned I just reply "through the front door" (for which I did not see any closed sinage, but that's besides the point)

Practically rolling her eyes, accusing me the lady with a large baby pram of sneaking in, I told her I would be happy to leave, she then begrudgingly wants to know my order, but you can't stay, but since you're in here - on what planet after your outrageously rude attitude and terrible customer service do you think I'd want to now spend my money here?

A simple "I'm terribly sorry, but our lobby is actually closed" would have sufficed. No need to imply I can't read, and accuse me of sneaking in. Absolutely stunned such simple scenario acrued such hostility and...
