TASTY ice cream! Like creamy, thick, flavorful goodness! I’m not a huge ice cream fan. I could take or leave it. But when I snagged a Huckleberry Cheesecake cone... I was savoring every bite and had to fight the urge not to share with my husband. Since then we’ve been back every visit to downtown. My favorite combo was a coffee flavored variation with toffee chips in a waffle bowl. You can watch them make the waffle cones right through the window. The only thing I would knock a star for is their wait time and accuracy. They’re not fast and kind of waste time puttering around in my opinion (you can see them through the window) and with all that time you stand and wait when they call you to pick up the order you either get the wrong ice cream variation or wrong cone type. My neighbor suggested we get salt water taffy at Mrs. Honeypeeps. She said it was the best she ever had. It is the best. The flavors are wonderful and so fresh tasting. The lemon was tart, the orange sweet and juicy, and the peppermint refreshing. I bought some for my neighbor but forgot it at our rental. I called and had an amazing experience. Although they don’t usually ship the man I talked to got a USPS box from his home and promptly sent me a replacement bag of salt water taffy for my neighbor. I could not have had a better experience. This evening we wandered in while exploring and the sweetest Cashier Devan was working, he was very attentive and helped us pick out treats! Thanks to him I tried rock candy for the first time which I am currently enjoying very much! He also took his time to help us pick out fun sodas to bring home! Lovely conversation, best experience I’ve ever had at a candy store! I highly recommend coming here to anyone exploring the Coeur D’ Lane area.
