Dear Sir/Madam,

I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to share a recent experience my family and I had at the Paul Bunyan Restaurant in Coeur d'Alene, ID, that left us feeling disappointed and unwelcome. Last night, as a family of four, we decided to dine at your establishment. Upon our arrival, we walked into the restaurant and proceeded to the counter. At that time, the lobby and dining area had approximately six other customers present. However, to our surprise, a female worker approached us and informed us that the lobby was closed. We couldn't help but notice that other customers were still allowed in the lobby, which led us to inquire about the policy. We politely asked where the restriction was posted, only to receive vague responses from the staff. Despite the full parking lot and two cars in the drive-thru, we were singled out as the only people of color present, while the other patrons were of Caucasian descent. It is disheartening to feel discriminated against based on our skin color, especially when there seemed to be no valid reason for us to be asked to leave while other customers were allowed to stay in the lobby. We believe that all customers should be treated with equality and fairness, regardless of their race or ethnicity. We kindly urge you to review your policies and ensure that all guests are treated respectfully and without bias. Discrimination has no place in any business establishment, and we hope that steps will be taken to address this issue to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. Thank you for taking the time to read this...

Wow. Horrible service. I Just tried to pull through tonight to grab food for my family. While I love the fact they hire young workers they need some serious customer service training. Scott, I believe you are the manager...your front of house staff this evening just before closing was horrible. They didn't lock the doors and upon entry the young lady told me to leave and go through the drive through (on my bike) because she forgot to lock the door. I asked if I could simply tell them what I would like to order and pick it up at the window because they were closing the lobby. She said no and to go out out to the drive through...I wasn't sure if the window clerk could use the microphone due to the lack of weight being on a bike so waited patiently behind one car to put my order in at the window. Upon getting there now with two cars behind me and 2 minutes before closing he started an argument with me about putting in an order and eventually told me he wouldn't take my order. And yes you were still open with two more orders behind me. Frusting given the fact that I rode my bike over to grab burgers for my family in the cold. I wasn't even angry just trying to order some food and wait patiently. Please don't hesitate should you have any questions (Scott), but the young man at the window was a real piece of work. Not a local small business friendly experience. Albeit it should be and certainly used to be been going...

The Paul Bunyan Pak-Out Restaurant on Northwest right near downtown Coeur D’Alene I think tops the list for fast food burger joints in Coeur D’Alene my final rankings to paint a picture on where the different restaurants stand your average fast food place like Burger King or McDonalds is a 7/10 the Zips on 7th and Sherman right in downtown is definitely a notch above McDonalds at a 7.5/10 the Roger’s on 12th and Sherman is better than Zips I’d give Roger’s a 8.0/10 and finally you come to Paul Bunyan Pak-Out on Northwest I am going to give them a 8.5/10 when it comes to the competition those would be my rankings I had the Double Jumbo Cheese Burger with a classic Vanilla Shake to see how it compares the Shake was better than Roger’s in my opinion and the Burger was very solid and held it’s own good quality meat etc. when it comes to fast food places I don’t think it gets much better than here good services small interior and never seems to busy whenever I go but has the classic atmosphere I will say Paul Bunyan Pak-Out on Northwest is a notch above Zips and Roger’s in my opinion I will definitely be going back...

WELL LEFT ME TELL YOU SOMETHING. IM ENRAGED AT MY EXPERIENCE AT THIS SHOULD I SAY SUB-PAR INSTITUTE. I ARRIVE ALREADY GETTING BAD LOOKS FROM THE 2 EMPLOYEES I GO UP TO ORDER, EVERYTHING SEEMS FINE. AND GET MY FOOD AND THEY FORGOT ONE OF MY BURGERS SO I HAD TO GO SPEAK TO THEM ONCE AGAIN AFTER ALREADY FREAKING SITTING DOWN TO EAT. I DECIDE I WOULD LIKE A NICE REFRESHING ICE WATER SO I WALK UP AND GET RUDELY REDIRECTED TO A DIFFERENT CASHIER (SHE DID ROLL HER EYES AT ME) THEN PROCEEDED TO GIVE ME A CUP OF ICE INSTEAD OF AN ICE WATER. IM ENRAGED AND FRANKLY VERY DISAPPOINTED. I HAVE A FAMILY AT HOME TO FEED AND NO DAMN TIME TO WASTE.

Burgers are nothing special just defrosted grilled store bought patties while the shakes on the other hand are very good, full of flavor and a prefect treat to have on a hot summers day. The service is always polite, fast and ready to take your order. The interior of the restaurant is not something you would remember and not to comfortable. Getting your food by drive in window is the best way to go for a fast a easy meal.
