Roger's Burgers — Restaurant in Coeur d'Alene

First time, probably last time. The good: I ordered a double D beast style with jalapenos. Delicious! That's what kept me from giving a 1 star. The cashier was friendly and genuine. The expediter was nice and professional when handing me my order of 3 burgers to go. Before I go into the bad, I have to describe the setting. It's just after 6pm on a Friday. I walk in to see about 5 to 6 tables of people. There are about 5 people ordering in front of me. So after ordering, the atmosphere was normal. Not crazy, not still. They're busy. It starts to pick up with people coming in for dinner rush. I get my to go order about 20 minutes after ordering. Ok, fine. You're busy. When receiving my order, I ask about the small shake I ordered. The shake guy appears with freshly cleaned blenders. I think, great. He's on it. I watch as I've cream ticket order after ticket order gets taken care of. And it whittles down to one more ticket. At this point I knew something was wrong because I had been there for about 35 minutes since ordering, and some of the orders were to people AFTER me. As he was giving another order to another customer, I ask about my shake. I tell him it's a Huckleberry lemonade shake. He looks around and sees he didn't get the ticket from the ticket dispenser. He turns to work on it. I left out the size to see if I would get an upgrade for my 40 minute wait. Nope. Moments later, he comes around the corner to ask what size I had ordered. And that's when I knew I would never come back. Any establishment that can make a customer wait that long for a shake without some sort of size upgrade or small fry says a lot. I hold nothing against the worker. He was not given the concept from management/ownership that when they're slammed, people understand. But when you mess up, show/say something to them that let's them know they want to always do right. So 45 minutes of my life waiting for my 3 burgers at the 20 min mark, and a small shake at the 45 minute mark will not make...

This place used to be great, my family and I frequent the drive-through about once a week, the burgers and fries and sometimes shakes were always delicious, the staff is always friendly and occasionally the wait time was longer than normal but was worth it for the delicious food and good service!

HOWEVER!!!! I will not be back again after my last three experiences there! Yes that’s correct I gave them three chances since after all we are regulars!

Their wait times have nearly doubled in the past few months! Their staff has changed recently as I don’t even think there’s any adults working there currently, the teenage kids could care less and don’t know much about customer service or how to produce orders quickly enough to keep up with demand! They have three kids standing around working the fries, and one young girl struggling to slap together all the burgers, while 3 or 4 other employess scurry around from place to place trying to look busy but really not contributing much as far as getting orders out!

The fries are absolutely horrendous! They either come completely burnt and crispy or soggy and greasy, there’s no in between maybe a few fries per basket are enjoyable IF they’re hot!!!

The last straw was this evening when I waited 45 minutes in the drive-through only to have our order completely botched and not even a sorry or any sort of reimbursement, I had to remind them that I orderd and paid for a large shake, and one of my drinks was supposed to be a large. When she didn’t repeat my order back to me I just knew something was wrong, low and behold as soon as I started looking through the bag I started finding mistakes, and yet again the fries look like they’ve been through a nuclear war! I tried to call and speak to someone about ten times but they don’t even answer their phone there!

I will not be back unfortunately, we’ll be finding a new burger joint for my family and I to enjoy, I highly recommend you find another...

ROGERS FKN ROCKS!!! i usually never leave reviews but today i felt i needed to. Rogers is one of my favorite places in town to get a good burger. they are SO CONSISTENT!!! i love love love their fries but the best part is there fry sauce. it’s sooo delicious!!! I wanted to make sure I left a good review because as I was waiting for my food today this man who chose to sit outside kept walking in to check on his food. i’m not gonna lie Roger’s does take their time with making a burger, but it is posted that all food is made to order. last time i checked there isn’t a way to cook the food any faster without it actually being cooked. he seemed very annoyed with the wait but you literally see them cook the food in the restaurant. as he was getting his food he called out a kid who was working there for eating a fry. i would like to note i never saw this fry eating accusation. he was saying some super karen things like “what if you had weird diseases”. Personally if i was 16 and sick i would call out of my job and if i wasn’t sick i would eat a fry too. this man also looked so redneck i’d like to assume he wasn’t vaccinated or anything so i thought it was bold statement. I’ve work in a restaurant for years and i eat fries all day. as long as it’s not off a customers plate and my fingers don’t go in my mouth i don’t see a problem. also a good chef always taste their food. it was clear that man was trying to be a prick but idk what he expected when you can see that nearly every employee there is in highschool like read the room. for a bunch of teenagers they do a stellar job. i love this place so so much. the food is always so amazing. it’s exactly what you expect for a cute lil burger place. if you haven’t tried Roger’s GO NOW!! you...
