Savage Coffee Company — Restaurant in Coeur d'Alene

I started going here almost daily a few months ago as its close by my home, and I wanted to give a small business a chance. Coffee and service "was" great. I always tipped $1. Appears they've hired several new girls due to high turnover and coffee has become hit and miss. A few days ago I got my usual and a girl named Ashley did not put enough ice in the coffee so I asked for more. She told me more ice cost more money, but she would give me a break this time. I advised that didn't sound right and noted I've never been told such a thing after coming her almost daily for quite awhile. I returned today and Ashley immediately made a comment about her wanting to charge for more ice, and mentioned our conversation a few days ago. She said they just had a meeting and the owner told them to charge for more ice or water. Finding her attitude to be very off-putting (over ice) I simply drove away and will never return, as I dont want to risk having her make my coffee. After telling family, friends, and neighbors to go there I'll need to discourage them and others from going there now. Too many coffee choices to put up with bad service, and at times poorly made coffee. It is extremely rare for me to review anything online, but this warranted my time. I ordered a 16 oz vanilla iced latte and a huckleberry scone. The latte was SO sweet like it could have been melted ice cream, it was filled to the brim with ice so not much much actual latte, and it tasted like a single shot not a standard double because of how non existent the espresso flavor was. I asked for a huckleberry scone, to which the gal said “are you planning on eating it now?” Um, yes, lol?? She had to check the freezer to see if there were any in there (there weren’t) and offered a white chocolate raspberry scone instead. I took it because I was in a rush, but no offer to warm the scone up so I didn’t have a ROCK HARD FROZEN SCONE??? If you’re going to be out of an item on the menu put a sold out sticker over it! And maybe thaw out some of the mass produced sysco-y scones before opening! The lady was nice but overall my experience...
