My boyfriend and I went here. We are from out of town and love breakfast/brunch places. Upon walking in, the visual appearance was so cute! I loved the Alice and Wonderland like theme to it with the addition of Christmas inspired by the Grinch. Everyone was all dressed up and there was lots decorations in addition to the decorations that already exist. They were full at the time so they took our name and information and put us on the list. It’s only a roughly five minute drive from the lake so we went there and walked around until they gave us a call. Everything looked amazing on the menu and the food looked delicious as we watched it come out. We ordered our food and proceeded to wait 25-30min for it to come out. Now, I know it was busy but that long of a wait is just inexcusable regardless of how busy it is. 20 minutes max should be the limit and for a breakfast brunch place it just doesn’t seem like it should take that long. But granted they also have a fairly small kitchen. I think what made it worse is the waitress did not check in with us about how soon the food would be out. But I am a patient person and just as I was about to get the waitress’s attention she came out with the food. My boyfriend got french toast and I got the Jazz Kitchen Hash and a side of gumbo. My boyfriend was very happy with his french toast, nothing wrong with it. It was super tasty. The gumbo was good but the sausage and the chicken on the top was a bit dry. I could tell that they had pulled it from a pot and microwaved it leaving the top part of it dry. The hash mix tasted great, loved the spices and seasoning. My egg came out a little bit after which was cooked perfectly and also was seasoned perfectly. My only complaint was again, sausage was pretty dry in the hash and the top part was not warm telling me it had been sitting there while I’m assuming they were waiting for the egg. The inside was hot though so can’t complain there.
Overall, I really enjoyed this place and would go back. Hopefully the wait for food won’t be so long next time and whatever I get next won’t have dry sausage.
TL;DR: Cute decor, friendly staff, tasty food, food took a while to come out, overcooked/dry...
Read moreWhat a terrible experience! I don't leave reviews, but I couldn't sleep last night because of how horrible of a time we had at Ten/6.
Ten/6 is a breakfast and brunch place, but on Valentine's Day 2025 they offered a 7-course dinner experience. I should have known better and Ten/6 should probably stick to breakfast/brunch.
We were seated at the bar. They said it was the 'coveted spot', but we felt overlooked, and we don't consider watching the staff fill up water jugs all night a pleasing aesthetic for a romantic dinner. We sat down to our 1st course, a plate of roasted nuts and Dove chocolates (both probably from Costco). 2nd course was a charcutier plate, if you can call it that because we make better charcuterie plates at home; the bread was so hard it had probably been through a forest fire and the servings were sparce. 3rd course was room temperature shrimp over pasta in red sauce (the sauce was also probably from Costco; my wife is 99% sure of it). 4th course, tri-tip over cheese mash potatoes and greens, all cold. 5th course was a sorbet palate cleanser followed by the 6th course, a Caesar (spelled wrong on the menu) Salad with one 'forest fire' crouton each, and then finally dessert. Why would you do a palate cleanse before a garlicy salad and then serve dessert??
We saw several other couples complaining and sending back food and the host was calling guests to tell them to delay arriving. The staff was overwhelmed, and this was very apparent throughout the evening.
We spoke to the owner about our concerns, she was rude at best and condescending. She offered to remove 2 inexpensive items on the bill and provide a $25 credit. Our bill was $275. I had to push for one of the cold entries to be removed. The owner kept repeating, almost yelling, the phrase, "How have I offended you??" I finally gave up and paid the $205 bill realizing the owner was way in over her head and since we had already been there for 3 HOURS (5-8), I decided to cut my...
Read moreTen/6 was incredible!!! I can’t understand why anyone would leave a bad review for this fabulous establishment. We have been told it is HIGHLY recommended to make reservations. So we listened and did that in advance. Our check in time for a table of 2 was at 11:30. We walked in at 11:20 and we were sat right away. MAKE RESERVATIONS. It’s not that hard! Their decor is whimsical and there is so much to look at. If you’re a true Disney fan, you will pick up on their “Hidden Mickey’s” (if you will)— :) Even their bathrooms are themed!!!
Customer service was amazing. Every employee that we encountered was kind and friendly. They were very well educated about the menu and answered any questions we had. The vast majority of them were dressed up and in character (so much fun!)
Food- my goodness their beignets were so good we made another order for round 2!!!! Because everything on the menu looked so good, we were torn on trying to make a decision for getting breakfast or lunch! We decided to have breakfast. I got the jazz kitchen hash and my husband got the eggs royale. The hash was incredible!!! With the andouille sausage it had, it packed the perfect amount of heat! My husband’s eggs royale dish was amazing too. I am NOT a fan of eggs Benedict. But let me tell you, their take on this was fantastic!!!! My husband is also pretty sensitive to spicy food. His eggs royale was excellent and he tolerated it well.
Drinks- Get the special coffee!!!! We ordered the vanilla bourbon espresso- best espresso we’ve ever had. We were also intrigued by another table across from us. We asked our waiter what kind of drinks they had ordered because the drinks had dry ice steam coming off the top of it and it was bubbling! The drink is called “bad magic”. It looked really good and the table was having a lot of fun with it. We want to try that one next time! We will definitely be back! Thank you for a wonderful...
