I have found my new favorite coffee place in CdA! I had a few hours to spare before heading back home to Moscow, and I stumbled into Vault. I noticed for $13 once could purchase a flight of seasonal iced coffees. Five glasses at 4oz each? Sure, why not? WHY NOT! You MUST do this. I sat by myself at a low counter with some wooden stools I’m OBSESSED with (if you ever sell them, Vault employees, let me know!) and enjoyed my flavored treats (with the cutest toppings!) and absorbed it with a slice of chocolate sourdough smeared with cream cheese. I would’ve tried all the pastries, bc they looked THAT good. Located in downtown CdA, I had only parked a couple of blocks down the way, and though the streets were semi-bustling, Vault kept customers coming in and out in a timely manner. Very much enjoyed my experience and I already made plans to bring my friend who lives in California, up here just for the flights. Great concept!

It’s been quite a while since we visited Coeur d’Alene, but I can easily remember Vault Coffee more than almost anywhere else on our entire trip. This place is AWESOME! They have super creative coffee drinks along with teas and so much more - when we went, we got a hot cocoa flight (they also do coffee flights as well), which alllwed us to taste a bunch of different unique hot cocoa flavors…each one better than the last! I got a unique coffee drink the second time we went, which I unfortunately don’t remember what it was called, but this is one of those places where the more unique the drink, the better! I can’t wait to finally make the trek back to Idaho and come visit this wonderful place again. As someone who is obsessed with coffee and has been to like a billion different coffee shops across the country, this is very close to the top of my list! 😁

Great coffee shop. Spacious interior, and modern interior design. Good coffee, interesting menu. But, the service was crappy. The folks behind the counter made the experience less-than ideal. For one, all three were glued to their smartphones as a was addressing them. Secondly, they seem completely unaware of the fact there were other customers in the coffee shop. Thirdly, all three left the counter to gather in the backroom. So, as I was finished and had a couple of questions, there was no one at the counter for about two minutes. So, as much as I enjoyed the coffee, I disliked the experience, because, the team members behind the counter could use additional training.

Service: 5 Price: $$ (it’s not a steal but WELL worth the price) Ambience: 5 (it’s eclectic and fun and not pretentious as some places in cDa can be) Coffee: 5+ (not an exaggeration) we got the cold brew liquid asset and a wet vanilla cappuccino both were perfect and the cold brew comes with cold brew ice cubes!!!! Can’t wait to come back this summer and walk outside care free because if the ice melts it won’t water down your brew!! Food: 5 - my husband had the Turkey melt warmed here and after finishing promptly declared he could order another because it was so tasty but didn’t cause it’s pretty generous in size. I ordered the gluten free almond flour savory scone and it was great! It fits in the category of true gluten free food ….. not trying to be like it’s gluten counterparts but celebrating its own profile.

Check this place out if you’re in town!

Pretty sure the owner was behind the bar when we were In and she was delightful and friendly and humble and if she’s not the owner then she has been imparted with ownership and pride by the owner to really love her...
