Westside Pizza — Restaurant in Coeur d'Alene

The best pizza of my life, and the best staff of any restaurant I have been to. This is BY FAR the best pizza place in Idaho.

My daughter earned a special day and got to pick what she wanted for dinner. She really wanted stuffed-crust pizza. We are tired of Dominos, and Pizza Hut is not what it was when I was a kid, so I called around to about 8 locations, all who said they don't have a stuffed crust. Finally, I called Westside Pizza, and Alden answered. He said they do not have it on the menu, but that he would have one of his employees do one up special for us to. We get there, and all of the staff were absolutely amazing. Alden and Matt introduced themselves and we talked a bit. Finally, we got the pizza, and honestly, it is the best pizza I can remember having, possibly the best pizza of my life. The crust is perfectly cooked, crisp on the bottom, but chewy on top. The toppings were so fresh. The cheese had a perfect stretch, and was cooked to perfection with just a kiss of brown for that flavor.

The location itself has a really neat vibe. It reminded me of a classic pizza shop, but modernized. The garage door on the side made for a great place to sit as we were out of the sun, but still got to feel like we were enjoying pizza on a patio. The game systems are free to play, and also have that retro pizza-joint vibe.

The picture is of half of a Large Pepperoni because I couldn't wait to eat some of it. Once I got some in me I had to share this picture. This pizza place is 9.5/10 I would give them 9 stars if that was an option. The only issue I have with this place is their online ordering. I usually don't like talking on the phone to order my pizza because the dominos employees sound like they have been at a Cypress hill concert all weekend. Westside pizza is professional, accommodating and friendly. Brian the manager is amazing. The first time I ordered I couldn't get the coupon code to work online and when I called him he helped me place the same order over the phone and made me feel appreciated as a customer. If I could only have 1 piece of pizza before I die, it would be the hand tossed pepperoni with some garlic butter to dip it in. I read a lot of the posts before I went tonight. Wasn't sure what kind of experience I was going to have. Well we ordered our pizza for dine in. When the pizza was ready they had put it in a box. I thought that was odd, but went back to the table. My wife, son and I started to eat out of the box and use napkins as plates. Then a nice lady that worked there delivered a pizza to the table next to us. She looked over at us and came right over. She apologized for the misunderstanding and promptly brought us plates. She again apologized and said she felt really bad. She then offered an order of cinnamon sticks for our trouble. It really wasn't an issue, but it was very nice that she wanted to make it right.
