Out of the way, in the middle of nowhere, sits an eatery off Rt 15 in PA that can only be called....legendary.

Sitting alongside a gas station, the visitor will immediately notice upon entering the wood-paneled decor of a building which doesn't seem to have changed much since the 1950s. Photographs from the old days appear to bear out this observation.

But enough of the decor. On the menu, the #1 is a dinner of true beauty: large slices of roasted turkey, piled atop cubed stuffing (admittedly, the stuffing is not the greatest), alongside a dollop of mashed potatoes, with a generous amount of gravy on each. Complementing the meat and potatoes are white corn, cranberry sauce, rolls w/butter, and a side salad - mostly bland iceberg, but served with homemade russian dressing (or choice of other, non-homemade dressings). To finish, the dinner comes with a small serving of palette-cleansing rainbow sherbet.

The price? Drumroll, please......$14 and change! It's an amazing deal, actually, and highly recommended. The sandwiches on the menu are...

Definitely not what it used to be. It's still a small place with ok prices. I may be wrong, I don't think it's still owned by the Fry family. This place has been an oasis in the middle of the mountains between Mansfield & Williamsport Pennsylvania on US15 since I was a kid.

Maybe it's because it was close to closing time, (about 6:45pm) but I ordered a burger (no bun, no fries) wrapped in lettuce because I'm on the Keto diet and a salad.they told me they had no leaf lettuce, no big deal I figured I could crumble the burger in the salad. The burger I got was slightly cool, and had solidified grease on the top, and the salad was mostly the white lettuce thou it was more brown than greenish white and the other lettuce was limp. If it wasn't for me fasting for 2 days I would've complained, so I just ate it. I hope that clarifies the reason I only gave it 3 Stars and said what I did. I will most likely stop there again as I said I've been going there...

Great prices and food! Service was fast too, which was great as we were heading home to MD from a Canadian vacation and didn't want to stop for too long. Has a little gift shop. Prices are really good ($11.xx for a huge Thanksgiving style meal), ask for the smaller portion meal (mentioned on the bottom of the menu, it's the same as the kids/jr. Meal and has all the same sides as the main meal, besides I think the one side you get to choose, and it's only $8.xx) I got it and honestly we couldn't tell much of a difference at all in portion size, it was still HUGE! Comes with turkey potatoes, corn, side of your choice (we did cottage cheese apple butter, apple sauce, slaw,), stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, and sherbet. They have non-turkey meals too! Make sure to get some red beet pickled eggs :) we are so glad we missed our stop and had our GPS bring us to the nearest food stop lol we will be back next time we find ourselves...

I’ve passed this restaurant many times in the past 5 summers on my way to my camper and decided to try it out. I ordered the Turkey dinner and was very disappointed. The Turkey was processed (not just-carved pieces from the Turkey) thin, flat slices on top of soggy stuffing, thin gravy with odd-looking lumps, and cold mashed potatoes. (I get butter, not gravy on my potatoes and the butter never melted!) I did like the cole slaw, cranberry sauce and rainbow sherbet, although it was strange that the sherbet came out at the same time and on the same plate (in a little plastic cup) as the ‘hot’ food. Staff was OK - not super friendly but not rude. I’m not usually a complainer, but this was not a wise use of my money or calories! Hard pass in the future.

There is one meal that I can eat any time of year. That’s a turkey dinner. When I came across the restaurant I knew I had to have a turkey dinner. Man I was not disappointed. The meal was over the top. I will probably stop there again for another round of turkey dinner. You can’t go wrong stopping there. Plus there are plenty of other choices if a turkey dinner is not what you want. Well worth the stop. Great staff and very welcoming. Oh I almost forgot to mention they have a wonderful little gift shop. I bought a You Turkey t shirt. My dad used to call just about anyone “Turkey “ when he was talking to my friends when I was younger and he continued to do that with the grandkids. The t shirt made me smile of those fond memories of my dad.
