Just a had a crazy experience at this place. Ordered a simple grinder and fries and it turned into mayhem. I live two minutes away from this place and ONLY ordered from here because Papa Z's which is also close, is closed during the pandemic. I came home to see some ingredients missing from my grinder. I called to clear it up and immediately the woman who took my order and rang me out said "she made it herself she knows she put them on the grinder" clearly they were not there so I drove the 2 minutes back and the woman was extremely unprofessional and didnt want to admit any fault. All I wanted was bacon and onion on my grinder... The woman finally realized "woops there was actually another turkey grinder with the exact same ingredients as mine ordered at the same time and she must've given me the wrong one" They offered to make me a new one and thats when the other male owner who was sitting right there witnessing it all chimed in to calm the situation down. When I told him I had a problem with the womens attitude she replied from the back kitchen "oh I havent given you attitude yet, but I can if you want me to" completely blown away, that's when I said I just wanted my money back at that point. The woman took a $20 bill from the register and threw it at me across the register and dismissed me. I wasnt happy by any means and definitely made it known. On top of it all, the owners had two people in the booth talking with them (friends or family I dont know) but they also felt comfortable enough to speak up and tell me "what's my problem, I got my money just get out" This woman was completely unprofessional beyond anything I've ever experienced before in a business and I'll never be back. Dont waste your money on the cheap ingredients...
Read moreCame here for a bite to eat passing through. Seeing it got really good reviews, I had high expectations for this place. Asked for water to start and it was some of the most disgusting water we've ever tasted. A restaurant should not serve water of that poor quality and only offer bottled. We ordered a veal parm grinder and a cheeseburger. Waitress asked if we wanted peppers and onions on the grinder and if it was to be toasted. Also she mentioned is medium ok for the burger. We agreed and eventually the food came out. The burger was dried out, not seasoned one bit, the cheese was not melted at all. The veal had to be the worst I've had in my life. Dried out and SEVERELY overcooked. A little smear of sauce on the barely toasted roll. The cheese was barely melted and raw onions, not sauteed were put on. Not to mention the peppers were unpleasant. Actually putting sauce on the veal and cooking it properly would have helped it, but these are fundamental things you should know how to do in a kitchen. I'm not sure how all they got all these good reviews, maybe it's only for the pizza..... The only reason I am giving two stars is because the server was...
Read moreWe stopped at Maria's for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. We were greeted by the very friendly staff and took a seat near the door. As we were starving, we ordered food as we were ordering drinks. The waitress was super sweet about it. The restaurant smelled like yummy home cooked food! I could smell the fresh pizza dough cooking! It smelled so good!
We had salad, pizzas, fries, and fried mozzarella! Everything was very tasty! We had so much left over we took it home for dinner.
The owner came to the dinning room and asked all of the patrons how the food was. We were sure to tell him how good we thought it was. I highly recommend stopping by for a meal if you are in the area!
The atmosphere was quaint and reminded me of a family style place. We can't wait to go back to...
