๐ This is the only coffee shop in the tiny village of Coldspring, which can save locals and visitors the drive to the nearest Starbucks in Livingston, Texas.
๐ However, that time-saving depends on how many people are in line. It can take over 20 minutes just to place a drink order... almost enough time to reach Livingston. Iโd recommend hiring an extra worker to help during peak hours, especially on weekends when lakehouse traffic picks up.
๐ On the topic of peak hours, the business used to have unpredictable hours. For the longest time, no one knew when it would be open. It often opened so late that anyone commuting to Houston might as well stop elsewhere. As one neighbor put it, โTheyโre open only when they feel like it.โ
๐ The shop is nicely decorated and offers card games to keep kids entertained while waiting for drinks.
๐ At the time of this review, they were also giving out free stickers with uplifting or inspirational messages.
๐ค Much of the decor and available books are Christian-themed, so visitors of other faiths or non-religious patrons may want to be aware.
๐ The staff is very polite, which is a welcome contrast to the rushed, no-nonsense service often found in cities.
