We’ve never been to the harbor bar so after a day of fishing we figured we would go in and get a bite to eat! We were unsure as to what time they start serving dinner so we figured we would ask since it was only 3:45. We went in and asked the first worker we saw, she was a bigger lady. My mom asked if they were serving food yet and they lady very rudely look at my mom with the snottiest reply saying “well duhhh”. I asked my mom if we still wanted to try eating there after that and we figured we’d give them the benefit of the doubt. We sat down at a table and waited. The lady that had spoke with my mom looked like she was working behind in the kitchen area. The entire time we were waiting This lady was arguing with her coworkers. At one point we heard her say “I’m not cooking hamburgers and steaks so they need to pick something else.” We were very excited to try this place out as we have heard good things from other people. I’ve never experienced such rude customer service. We got up and...

Stopped here late this evening to grab some food. Was hesitant because we had a baby with us and it looked like a "bar", so we weren't sure if they allowed kids/babies but we were starving and walked in anyway! Wasn't sure how that was going to be, but everything and everyone was so accommodating. The waitress turned down the music because of the newborn (we didn't even ask!). Portions are huge! Quality was fantastic. Everything was crunchy, crispy, hard, soft, sweet, salty.... whatever it was suppose to be, it was! The cook Steve/Steven tonight was very pleasant and I personally didn't get to chat with him, but I overheard how he treated other customers/staff. He was very respectful and kind. How he plated his food was perfect, and you can tell he takes pride in what he serves. I know it's a small town on a main dark highway, if you blink you'll miss it, but anytime we travel this way, or are in the general area, we'll definitely stop again! The drive is worth it! Highly...

We had the ribeye—monstrous size! It’s bigger than the 12oz (or was it 16?) that they advertise. Considering myself a ribeye connoisseur (lol), this steak sits comfortably in 1st place on my list. The flavor is rich and they cook it to perfection (per your preference). Have had steak at ritzy steakhouses and ‘dive bars’ like this place—this one beats them all.

Location: middle of nowhere, blink and you’ll miss it right off the highway. Was at a work contract and drove the 50 miles away—totally worth it.

*worth noting they only have the ribeye special last part of the week; less one star bc it’s not available every night and only for dinner—has nothing to do with quality...

Nice and cozy. Loved everything about this little place. It's the best steakhouse I've been to in years, and I travel a lot! Food was delicious. The steak was so tender, the potato was a thin red skinned that was perfectly baked. I was offered soup or salad. The soup was a substantial bowl of homemade beef stew that was as good as mine, and maybe better. The salad choice was also a generous salad. It was fresh, and the perfect start to my meal. I hope you try this place out! Winter hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 11 to 10. I suggest a reservation, especially on the weekend.

My family and I stopped in here during our ND road trip since we happened to be passing through Coleharbor around lunch time. To be honest, I was a little skeptical based on the outside: it’s unassuming and a little rustic looking. But the inside is cozy and laid back and the food was excellent! The grilled cheese was cooked to perfection and perfectly melty; the chicken tenders and fries were hot and crispy; the onion rings were golden. My dad also really enjoyed his rib sandwich. The service was good and our waitress was very personable.

One of the best steaks I've ever eaten! I am an attorney who travels around the country for work. I found myself looking for a place to eat between Bismarck and New Town and decided to stop at the Harbor Bar because of its great online reviews. I'll tell you what, the reviews are accurate. The food at the Harbor Bar is delicious. Great steaks, fresh salads, wonderful price, and large portions. The staff is warm and friendly and so is the atmosphere. 5/5 stars - A wonderful spot with great people and great food.
