A few friends decided to go on a motorcycle ride in the foothills and wanted to stop for lunch at The Red Frog. I had never been there and went on yelp to see the menu and reviews. There were horrible reviews regarding service dogs. I have a small service dog, well trained and not a bother, but the reviews said they did not allow service dogs. I called and asked the woman who answered the phone if service dogs were allowed. I even mentioned the bad reviews and that I did not want to make a fuss. If it was going to be a problem I would go somewhere else. She said that they were trying to improve the service dog issue and that it should not be a problem. She also said that we could sit on the patio. From the photos I assumed the patio was in the back. When we arrived and entered I was holding my service dog in my arms. Two different staff members started YELLING at me "no dogs, no dogs." I stated that I had called the day before and was told the service dog would be allowed to enter. I said I wanted to let my friends know that I was told to leave. They continued to yell at me. I went out to the front fenced area without any shade and no one came out to take an order or bring any water etc. We decided it was not going to work out and we left. It was obvious that they had no interest in keeping out business. In a previous review the owner had stated that he did not want to get sued because a service dog might bite another patron. Service dogs do not bite, they do their jobs. How would the owner like to be sued for discrimination and not following the ADA rules? Do they have handicapped parking? are their bathrooms ADA accessible? This could get...
Read moreWhat a great find! Menu is simple, hot dogs are juicy and delicious, drinks are great, so many things to look at. Going back for a burger next time. Mimosa was the best! The drive in the hills was nice from Marysville, and the weather was perfect to sit outside. You can walk around some and take a look at all the items they decorated the place with. They are rare and really cool. As mentioned before the menu is simple and the prices are great. We usually share but we didn't this time. The atmosphere is more for adults I'd say rather than family with children. Low lighting and natural lighting was nice. I will never forget the 10 inch hot dog though. Plane or supreme we all thought they were delicious. The drinks were not expensive I thought $6. For a Mimosa was pretty good providing the sparkling wine bottle to go with the orange juice was a treat. Make your Mimosa weak or strong, I poured and drank, poured and drank to get that full flavor everytime. :) Gotta visit this place if you are ever going up 174. We ventured out for a bike ride to find a place to eat, and this is the place we will probably...
Read moreFun entertaining experience. Very kid friendly at 330pm. View on outdoor covered back patio was excellent. With some old cars and fun stuff to spot and find with younger kids. Got to see a train go by.. There was an old school sit down arcade game and a box of big block Jenga available. They had a kiddie pool with water ,balls and toys set up on front patio . A homie little fun place . Especially to chat with some locals and passer byers. Husband ordered long Island which was 8.00 . Cheaper than the 10.00 margaritas but they had a variety of yummy flavored margaritas available. No happy hour available though. Menu consisted mainly of bar food, hamburgers and pizza options. All priced very reasonably. We got the mountain of fries, jalapeño poppers and a small Hawaiian pizza. The pizza was amazingly yummy! Fries were little underdone but good. Poppers were very hot like lava when...
