TL;DR it's worth the trip for the views alone, but the beers are equally worth it. Even when at capacity service was reasonably fast and it didn't feel too crowded.

...

I went opening day. The place was spilling over with cars trying to find a parking spot. So much so that cars were parking in the park across the street and their occupants walking up the hill to get there. Even with the overflow, once inside we were able to get our drinks within 10 minutes and found a spot to lean on the railing and look at the incredible views. It was crowded but it didn't feel cramped. While the decor wasn't anything amazing, the history buff in me loved all the old signage from when it was a military installation.

As for the food and drink itself, as per usual Grist House knocked it out of the park with their beer. I had the honey stout and my friend had their feetbeir. Both were excellent and an ok price for a craft beer. If you don't want to sit and drink they also have a corner just inside the door with cans of their current offerings.

Though I wasn't willing to wait for food, it was looked and smelled great. Every serving I saw around me was eaten completely. So it couldn't have been terrible.

Seriously, this place is worth the a short trip if you're even...

I cannot wait to take my out of town family here when they visit. It is an impressive space with views FOR DAYS and highlights the beauty of the area. It was hard to choose from which deck to sit and drink in the scenery and tasty craft brews. I thoroughly enjoyed the sliders- and of the variety of pickled add-ons and sauces, choosing the pickled onion with chili sauce was the ultimate choice, as it was TO DIE FOR. The german pretzels are massive, pillowy-soft on the inside and just the right amount of crisp on the outside. I am also going to recommend the event space for future work parties. Can't wait to...

Awesome new location - amazing outdoor space, cozy and fun indoor bar atmosphere. We will return very often! The burger and fries did not disappoint! Beer selection is always changing and delicious. To those complaining about a lack of tables service…. Have you ever been to a brewery?? This isn't a thing. To those complaining about food wait lines, yes- they’ve been long and wait is long, but this brand new business is dealing with unprecedented volumes of visitors. They’re still learning and tweaking. Give them at least a month to figure things out. Thanks Grist House, we’re so excited that...
