Rennerdale Corner Store — Restaurant in Collier Township

I walked in and placed an order of a pizza, chicken tenders and fries, hoagie, and mozzarella sticks. The menu said that the chicken tenders were $8.99, but they rang up to be much more. And the same thing happened with all of the other food. There wasn’t many people in there, but I still waited about 50 minutes for the food. I’m not sure what they were doing back there but I don’t think they were working. When I finally got the food, the hoagie and mozzarella sticks were ok. But the pizza crust was extremely thin and not much flavor over all. But the worst thing about it was the chicken tenders. They were about 1/4 inch thick and dry as a bone. Been going here for years as a Rennerdale resident and the Corner Store is a neighborhood institution.

The pizza is fantastic, especially the buffalo chicken ranch (BCR). I can actually remember when it was under previous ownership when I was a little kid and people a joked about the corner store pizza but ever since maybe 10-15 years ago it has been excellent. The owner is really nice and seeing her friendly face helps to keep Rennerdale’s Mayberry feel. We’re very proud to have the Corner Store as our local spot.

Good food. Not what you'd expect at a local corner store. The pizza sauce is fresh made (lots of garlic), and it's real cheese. [EDIT] It's been years since this original review, and the place still has my favorite pizza. The also have good hoagies and other food. There's hand dipped ice cream and IBC root beer. It's also, like the name would imply, a store. They have milk and bread, and a small selection of other household items. It's the pizza, and the people, that keep me coming back.
