Tony has a "spice hand." That means he knows exactly how much to put in and exactly how much NOT to put in. And that makes all the difference when you're talking about Mexican food.
Walk in and check out the handwritten menu on a piece of poster board. Look on the left to see what the meal delivery system is and then look on the right to see which tasty meat product you want to put in. There are so many protein options to go into your burritos, nachos, tacos, gorditas, and on and on and on.
He makes his own chorizo. He makes his own carnitas. This isn't "fast food." You order it and THEN they cook it.
There's a little bit of a trick to ordering your food if you're paying with a credit card. You order, then get a total, and then go to the register in the gas station to pay for it. Pick up your drink while you're over there.
This is not your average run-of-the-mill restaurant. But that's okay it's not your average run-of-the-mill food either.
ProTip: Ask him about his start back in Texas. Get to know this guy. He was born to make great food. And it shows.
Best Mexican food in town. Best Mexican restaurant in West Tennessee. Best Mexican restaurant I've been...
Read moreUnfortunately we just had a bad experience, by this very rude gentleman that was too worry that we get his tables dirty by scratching a ticket, than us having a good morning breakfast, Not a welcoming gesture, no one ask what we want a have.. I used to like this place but after today I will never came back, we were supporting local restaurants but there is not freaking way we are coming back here, I'm Hispanic and I can't imagine what this people say in Spanish about the ones can't understand them. Very very rude and disappointing.
Read moreI have purchased food at Tony’s consistently since someone recommended them 2 years ago. I’ve recommended it to many others. It’s some of the best food. My recent visit I found the food disappointing. I added salsa/chips to my order. It was tasteless, only slightly red, mostly water with bits of onion and tomato floating around in the container. My steak burrito was delicious. However, the green sauce (purchased extras) was very thick when it’s usually pourable and tasty. It did not taste good either. Consistency is vital when you are in the food business and following your own recipe is important. My overall rating reflects my trust this will not happen again. If not, I will not be a repeat customer and not encourage others to try...
