To anyone interested in collaborating with Farrand Hall on creating a one-of-a-kind event to be remembered for a lifetime:

My husband and I were wed at Farrand Hall yesterday. I am writing this while sitting in our honeymoon suite, overlooking the garden as the Amish buggies pass by, leisurely enjoying this enchanting weekend. I will try to be concise because I could sing the praises of James and Jacob for hours.

From the initial consultation and explorations of the venue, Steven and I knew we were in more-than-capable hands. The expert craftsmanship of the Farrand Hall owners is seen in every detail they have painstakingly curated to create a captivating experience at the property. Farrand Hall is so much more than a home or an event space: it is a gorgeous canvas on which you can dream up and execute any vision you want for your big day. The peaceful and scenic surroundings allow for an intimate, sophisticated, and relaxed atmosphere for any occasion.

On the day of our wedding, everything ran smoothly like clockwork all thanks to the oversight of the most talented event coordinators, Jacob and James. During the planning process, we saw the dynamic duo more than we saw our own families and we were lucky to celebrate our wedding with them in attendance. Our guests were able to express to them their marvel over the incredible work the Farrand Hall team has done to create such a fun and beautiful event. Our bridal suite and groom’s quarters were absolutely perfect for handling large crowds of family and friends. We managed to make it until the ceremony without seeing each other, while in the same house all day! The lighting was perfect for our hair and makeup team who had ample room to work on numerous clients simultaneously. The caterers loved the spacious kitchen and all of our vendors found it very easy to utilize the property’s electric sources and water supply.

You must tour the property if you are considering hosting any kind of event in Michigan. The value of having a venue with everything you need including costly tables, chairs, lighting, decorations, four bedrooms, caterer’s kitchen, etc… it just can’t be beat. The local charm of rural Michigan also provides extra fun surprises for our guests to enjoy throughout the weekend, including a performance by a local magician during cocktail hour and the nearby lake was the perfect backdrop for our rehearsal dinner on the shore.

Farrand Hall is unlike any other venue I have ever photographed at. I was lucky enough to work here back in August and was blown away by every element of the wedding day.

The space is so dreamy! Every single detail is intentionally placed. There are multiple spaces to make transitioning throughout the wedding a breeze. The property felt like I traveled over to Europe, but lucky for us, it is a gem tucked away here in the midwest.

James and Jacob are personable and kind. I could see the weight they took off of my couples' shoulders! You can tell they really love being hosts. They went out of their way to talk to me in the middle of a very busy day, which meant the world to me.

This place is BEAUTIFUL. The owners could not be nicer, and they have made this quaint old farm house into a gorgeously rehabbed, real life Instagram-filtered mansion. Everything is shabby chic adorable, a great mixture of old and new everywhere (THE DOORS, THE CHANDELIERS AND THE STAIRS), and the grounds could not be prettier. My friend rented it out for her wedding and everything was perfect - the owners have landscaped the grounds perfectly to accommodate a tent, firepit, ceremony space and more, the bedrooms and bathrooms inside were picture-perfect for gettkng ready/bridal party accommodations, and the owners were so hospitable.
