We’ve had our eye on this place for a while and finally got a chance to stop in on a recent visit to Garden of the Gods. The good: - Beer is good, we especially liked the IPAs. - good food options in the shipping containers around the open space - plenty of outdoor and indoor seating The bad: We happened to notice signs around the outdoor space that says no balls, no running, etc that we found a little odd given it’s such a great, open outdoor space. It didn’t take long to find out why they post that, when my sister’s beer got knocked by a kid throwing a football, spilling her full beer all over her. It didn’t help that the parents were less than interested in acknowledging what happened, but the response from the employee we talked to was terribly disappointing. When we asked that someone ask the parents to have their kids stop throwing the ball, his response was that the person who usually handles this isn’t here, so I’ll see if I can get someone else to do it. It’s a very good rule, he said, but it doesn’t seem they care to enforce it. (As we expected, no one came by.) So we left with a drenched shirt and drinking one less beer than we paid for. We still recommend going, but fiercely protect your beer from those flying balls.

Quality local brewery tucked away off Garden of the Gods Rd. Housed in a warehouse looking building, the space has been well decorated with festive lights, ample seating space and friendly smiles to make a homely and inviting atmosphere. Their selection of beers is significant and well worth exploring - I personally recommend the Blue Nose Brown Ale. Though due to their circulating speciality brews, it may not be on offer when you drop by! Edit - The friendly owners replied here confirming it's always available, so be sure to try it!! There's no in house kitchen here, but there's always . food truck in the car park, which changes every night, so you won't be at a loss for something tasty to go with your brew. Proudly owned by Veterans, this venue has a strong following from the local military community. Apparently the name Red Leg is a military reference, though I'm not sure of what. Opening hours shown in photos as are the speciality beer current menu options. Would recommend for a cruisy brew or two after hours in a comfortable and laid back atmosphere. A few board games are also available for use in the corner, also shown in photos.

This place is awesome. Went for the first time for their Round Up event and was very impressed. Might be the best brewery I've been to in the Springs area. So many food options and everything looked and smelled wonderful. Sadly we had already eaten before we came. I look forward to returning and trying the food. Good variety of beers and at reasonable prices. Served nice and cold. They also have a full bar, cocktails, and wine. Inside bar and table seating, lots of outdoor seating, and a rooftop bar area that's adults only (nice if you're not into the family scene). All the staff was so much fun and very patient. Even if there's a line behind you, when you get to the front they treat you like you're the only one there and don't rush you at all. They host lots of fun events... Trivia, music bingo, themed nights (there's a Taylor Swift one coming up), live music and more.

—— Update 9/17/2023 Came to try again (no options here) Stayed 45 min to eat and didnt want to keep spending money here, so we left asap. Place still needs better management. The below automated response from them makes things worse. Came back because SADLY Springs doesnt have many options. If someone has recommendations, please respond. Same stupidity . Cocky Bartenders (Brewery) ,bleechers blocking kids play area (no bands) ,no umbrellas with extreem sun. Put money back into business or the next Business person will steal business from this place very quickly

——- Update: 7/9/2023 So had to come back and give feedback. Hopefully the business will read and take it as helpful. We moved here 3 yrs ago and love it here. However, Springs is lacking good outdoor family fun place to meet other people and make friends. So we were excited about this place when we discovered it. Gave it 5 stars. Things change.. the place has definitely grown in popularity. They are running out of parking now. The saying "Too big for your britches” is true in many areas. Especially businesses with lack of competition. That’s called MONOPOLIES. I know it’s crazy to want Capitalism and healthy competition of businesses. Businesses seem politically controlled here in Springs (Sorry different topic) So, the last many times visiting Red Leg, we noticed there is no service upstairs. No problem right? Well, they removed all SUN/Rain umbrellas from downstairs. I get it, many of them started breaking, falling apart with a few left. Might need better quality to fix that. So either downstairs in intense SUN or upstairs in shade(downstairs packed/full). Upstairs hasn't had service since we discovered there was an upstairs. So comes down to staffing. As much/ as busy as this brewery makes, you have to put money back into it (to keep people coming and avoid bad experiences). I go downstairs and Order 4 glass drinks for my family. I have to somehow carry 4 glasses by myself. Asked a service person, he said were understaffed. ??? I have NEVER seen a working bar or staff upstairs. I get it, you have a large crowd (since not many options in Springs) so you can do what you want. Then the tables upstairs are also LOW quality considering. My off the shelf tables at home are better quality. I was scared my glasses on table would crash and collapse. Also, this used to be a family friendly place, BECAUSE the kids could roam free within a fenced area and play, meet new friends with others. I guess they are testing out live concerts now. That's all good but don't change the play space for all the Children. Notice Families were a big part of your business? Now more bleachers without umbrellas taking up all the space might not be a good idea. To make this short, Springs needs more places like this. There is a lot of business opportunities here. Believe me I would jump on it if we had the capital . Just do it right. Again there is obvious politics preventing competition in Springs and at the end, it's the residence here that suffer. This place had and could have potential. Will check back next year. We prob wont be back for a while.

——————— Initial post 7months ago Love this place with view and friendliness.. Definitely family friendly during day in beautiful weather.. Don't mean to bash other places, but went to a new place that's been getting so much hype. TrainWreck. Its a similar type of place, that's why I bring it up. Has outdoors , etc.. HOWEVER, that place (TrainWreck) SUCKED for families. It's only Hype. Felt unwelcome because it was w family during day. I get it as a Singles hang out or bar. Anyway, Red Leg is good, Springs is lacking with this.. very happy as s place for family during day and Adults at night.

I watched this business get developed since I live practically around the corner and ride my bike past it all the time. I was super enthusiastic about it opening, but when it did, I saw it was so popular that I waited to swing by.

Today, a friend's band was playing, so I stopped by on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Everything about the place is perfect except for two substantial issues. The most important issue should be flagrantly obvious since the place is a brewery: It takes forever to get a beer. After waiting quite a while for the first beer, I decided to time the wait for my second. From the time I got in line to the time it was in my hand was sixteen minutes. I still gave a twenty percent tip, but it's fair to say the vast majority of the service was on my behalf at that point.

There was only one line to order at the counter. They did bring out a second order taker, which probably cut the time down by at least five minutes. Ironically, after I finished my second beer, and five minutes before I left, someone came by the table where my party was sitting and asked if we wanted anything. We didn't even realize there were servers until 95% of the way through our visit.

Three or four more points of sale for beer is pretty much a no brainer, and I hope that happens soon.

The second issue, and the thing that kept me away from the place initially, is the parking. I'd suggest a parking garage on the vacant land to the south. It wouldn't block the phenomenal view to the west, but it may be too pricey. They should at least acquire some of the vacant land around so it's not a headache to find a place to park and they can be on better terms with their neighbors.

That being said, everything else about this business--its background, the concept, and the location, and the beer--are truly unique and world class. If these two issues could be addressed, I'd absolutely...

So I have been coming here since day one we are talking about 2 time per week, (yes I love beer) the fact that they have different kind of beer is something that draws me to it so I can experiment, the whole atmosphere is great! I have spend 6 hours here at a time, can't say enough about it, (BUT) today I have to say, my wife and I felt uncomfortable due to the fact that after paying for my tab I went to use the restroom before taking off, I stopped by the cooler and grab a 6 pack of beer, as I was walking to the end of the line to pay for the 6 pack I was approach by the waiter/worker that was getting me beer all night and asked if he can add the 6 pack to my tab in a way that made me very uncomfortable as if I was going to walk out with the beer, is understandable if he didn't know I had already paid for my tab but the way he came up to me was my wife's and I understanding that I was trying to walk away without paying when I was standing in line to pay.

I don't want to think the reason his actions to react this way is because my Hispanic heritage looks is the reason he thought I was capable of accomplish to do so and steal the beer.

I'm not sure if I want to give my money to business that will profile individuals like me. Will think twice to come back now I don't feel comfortable.

I know one customer will not make a company like this go bankrupt but at least can consider looking in to it. Thank you

His...
