This is the most underrated restaurant in all of the Colorado Springs/Monument area. They serve breakfast and lunch (and have a full coffee bar) and are located in the lobby of the Monument YMCA. Don’t let the location fool you as their space is bright, open, inviting and comfortable. I can vouch for the roasted chili Benedict (so flavorful and always cooked perfectly), the BLT (generous portion with thick bacon and served on the most wonderfully thick yet light bread that is made in house), the breakfast burrito (flavorful and hearty), and the turkey salami sandwich (also on their amazing bread with perfect proportions of meat and other delicious goodies). Also love their made in house pickles. Really, I can’t imagine anything from this gem being less than delicious. The food is fresh, thoughtfully paired, and always filling. Whoever picks their fruit is a genius as it’s always ripe and sweet. The staff is professional, hard working and friendly- from their management (Danny) to Jill of all Trades (Greta) to their baristas and runners (Tate and Chloe… really I wish I could name them all). Do yourself a favor and visit this restaurant so I can say, “I told you so!”

***update below*** Traveler Review. We are trying the top rated restaurants and coffee joints on our trip. Here is what we found! These guys know what they are doing!! Amazing. 💯. Connected to the Y. Eggs Benedict, avocado toast with fruit, and a breakfast burrito. My 12 yr said his burrito was the best burrito he's ever tried. The coffee was on point! We'll be back for lunch tomorrow. 🥾Traveler Review🚙 Husband, 12 year old son, and myself have been visiting Colorado Springs/Monument, CO for 3 days and today is our last day to do one last meal. So without much discussion we are day 2 of Bennies breakfast. We have had an amazing trip so far and have felt very welcome. That said. The Bennies Fam is so friendly. Second morning here, they welcomed us back in knew exactly who we were and took the time to really make a lasting impression on our family. Already planning our next trip back and Bennies is on our list. In it's entirety. Bennies, we give you the chef's kiss

So delicious! We ordered the Breakfast with 2 scrambled eggs, bacon, fruit, potatoes, and home-made toast and two orders of the Goodness Bowl. All of our food was so delicious and fresh! The fruit in the goodness bowl was sweet and combined with the nuts and granola made it the most perfect breakfast! The home-made toast was probably the best toast we’ve ever had! The cheesy potatoes was more like a casserole than your standard potatoes most places just throw on your plate. These potatoes were so flavorful and unexpected! We ate everything up and wanted to lick the bowls and plates it was so good! We’ll be back for sure!

This place is a gem. We were from out of town and just had to try out this place with the raving reviews. I thought I had made a wrong turn, but no, it's indeed connected right next to the YMCA. It's clear that the chef, the cooks, the staff behind the menu care about food quality and how it's presented. There's no sacrifice between clean and delicious. If you do want to indulge though, I recommend the beignets (ask them to heat it up). I got the salted caramel, but my daughter loved the chocolate, and my son loved the berry.

Bennies has the best of both worlds when it comes to ordering. Guests order at the counter (which is nice because I can order what I want quickly, and come back if I want something else without having to wait for staff), but after you pick your seat, the staff attends to your table just like a sit down restaurant - swinging by to make sure everything is right and bussing the table to make sure that guests have a clean roomy surface to dine on.

While we were there, my fam and I went multiple times (even on our way out of town as well). I liked how when I sat down, my chai tea latte came in a nice big ceramic cup, but when we were on the go, they had paper cups that fit perfectly into a cup holder (a simple but oh so helpful feature).

Extra kudos that I'd also give: the dining room is nice and open. My son loved being able to sit in his seat and peer over to watch the head cook plate the food. I appreciated that I could grab the local paper at the sugar, cream, water station. After we were done dining the staff took care of the clean up so it made it nice and easy while trying to juggle our kids.

The staff was happy, the food partners making the deliveries were happy, so all in all you could tell that Bennies' is all about treating peeps right and caring about the hospitality that they give. It's not just the best place in the area, it'll be one of the best places that you'll have on your favorite lists...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Breakfast Gem I Can’t Stop Thinking About!

I just had one of the best breakfasts of my life, and I’m already planning my next visit! This place is an absolute treasure — cozy, welcoming, and filled with the incredible smell of fresh toast and sizzling breakfast goodness the moment you walk in.

Let’s talk about the toast — because WOW. Perfectly golden, just the right amount of crunch on the outside with a soft, warm center. They clearly use high-quality bread and know exactly what they’re doing. Whether you get it with jam, butter, eggs, or avocado, it’s honestly life-changing. I never thought I could be this passionate about toast, but here we are.

The rest of the breakfast? Just as incredible. Every plate that came out looked like something from a magazine — hearty, fresh, and made with love. The eggs were cooked to perfection, the sides were flavorful and thoughtfully prepared, and everything was served hot and fast, with a smile.

If you’re even thinking about where to grab breakfast, stop thinking and just GO. Trust me — you’ll be dreaming about that toast too. I’ll definitely be back… probably...
