The location is very small and unassuming. Easy to miss but really an awesome gem for locals living in Coal Creek Canyon. They are a very small operation and locally run so things move a little slower here but you can tell it is done with a lot of love and care. If I had only visited once this would have been a five star review but we went twice and the second time was a hugely different and mostly negative experience. The first trip was incredible and we LOVED everything. The second time a different barista was there and she really did a poor job that made it very hard to want to return. The first time a very pleasant young man served us and was prompt, attentive and made an excellent drink! We got the special s’mores latte iced with a homemade sourdough cinnamon roll. The latte was amazing! So flavorful and well made. We left extremely happy! We went back a few days later and had a totally different experience. We waited well over a half hour (I even had time to go get gas and come back) before we even ordered. The barista was extremely timid and we could barely hear her as she spoke with us. She wouldn’t even make eye contact even though we were very kind and told her we understood the wait since they were small. We got breakfast burritos and the same s’mores latte. The latte was downright awful sadly, a total 180 from the other day. It tasted burnt, had no flavor, and the cup was only filled half up. We asked why and we’re told there was room for cream which I have never heard of in a latte before. It was even more expensive than the previous day too despite ordering the same thing. The breakfast burrito also was not good. Very soggy, no flavor, and the barista avoided us as we attempted to get some salsa to add some much needed flavor. Overall, very inconsistent. If I had only come the first time it would have been a five but if I had only come the second time it would have been a two star review. Hopefully in the future they can work out some inconsistency issues.

Nice people and I enjoyed a great cup of drip coffee. Cool rustic vibe, keeping it simple and pleasant. They offered both a medium and dark roast. Good prices too, $2.75 for a 20 oz. They even serve 24 oz for $3! I’ll be back again to enjoy their pastries and sandwiches as I didn’t have any on this trip but some other customers did and they looked great. They also sell their day old pastries, I love it when places do that! Free WiFi too which is convenient as I didn’t have any reception in that area with AT&T service.

Great coffee and service! Got the xxx PSL late which was a touch too sweet. The breakfast sandwiches are homemade sourdough English muffins and they're absolutely amazing! All three options were really great. The coconut pumpkin bread was super moist and flavorful. Breakfast burritos have a lovely salsa! The apple pie was really crumbly. The drip was really tasty as well. Parking is right out front with a few stairs (I didn't see a ramp.) About 10 seats inside and several tables outside with seating.

Been coming to this spot for a while now and it’s normally a very friendly atmosphere with good drinks/food and staff. However, today I brought my girlfriend and her family to show one of my favorite mountain coffee spots and the blond working behind the counter on 9/22 was rude to the customer in front of us then so incredibly rude to us that we left mid order. We asked what kind of pot pies were available the cashier was irritated saying that we could easily see what was available despite there being no sign labeling a few items. The cashier was confrontational to my girlfriend and tried to embarrass her by saying she is talking too quiet and imitated that she was covering her face. In reality she was speaking clearly. It was a surprisingly bad experience and we were all shocked. I will be coming back because i know this isn’t the normal but that lady is driving away...

Worst experience ever. They were out of most food items. We wanted to try breakfast burritos. We tried the Chorizo sandwich and not great. I chose medium roost coffee and only got half a cup as that was the last of it. After receiving order we were promptly and rudely told we would have to eat in our car as she was closing. (Even though there were many in line ordering.) Sign outside said they closed at 4pm. It was far earlier. I told her we would have gone elsewhere is she had said it up front. Her rudeness and attitude does not belong in the customer service realm whatsoever. I personally would...
