Dreamaker at Haymaker Patio Grill — Restaurant in Colorado

If you have reservations here, cancel them now. This is by far the worst dining experience I have ever participated in my life. Steamboat resort should be ashamed to partner with this place and put their name on such an awful experience. Found out during the sleigh ride that steamboat resort was not renewing the contract with the city for next year at this venue and that was evident throughout the entire experience. Sleigh ride was the best part of this whole experience. The food experience was awful. The courses took over an hour each to come out and lacked basic salt and pepper or any seasoning in any of the foods sent out. The drink selection from the bar was also very very subpar. Chef would not even come out to speak to us to receive feedback on the awful dinining experience. Overall such a disappointing experience from steamboat and their quality of service to customers. The sleigh ride was wonderful fun entertaining sleigh drivers I would give them 5 stars in a heart beat, the waiter we had absolutely amazing (hayden) very punctual, nice, caring would do anything for ya, the food oh the food is just so horrible I wouldnt wish it on my worst enemy. I wouldve preferred mc Donald's food and I hate mc Donald's. They shamed the cow the steak came from. I guess they were smooth out of even the most basic of seasonings such as salt or pepper. The rolls were so hard and dry theres not enough water in the restaurant to make them edible or atleast safe for dental hygiene. I guess the stove was broke because they sure forgot to turn it on to cook my carrots! But if they would've just taken my steak off before turning it into jerky and cooked the carrots maybe they would've atleast been eatable and that isn't even accounting the fact they forgot to season them. Moral is go to Applebee's or western sizzlin before suffering...

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful and romantic experience with the Sleigh Ride dinner at Haymaker and would highly recommend! We had wonderful service from the moment we walked in and were greeted by the general manager and seated to our table in front of large windows where we watched the sleigh pull up while having warm delicious cocktails.

The sleigh is driven by a local and his two personal horses in a handmade sleigh, it came with warm blankets, beautiful views under the Moonlight, and great stories about Steamboat while we were whisked through the snow.

Other reviewers said the food was not worth the price, but that was NOT our experience. Excellent 5 star four course dinner - the gnocchi with 48hr braised pork was to die for! The service was top notch to match!
