Called to order pickup, we order here often. I order any menu items at any time of the day, their website and menu says nothing about specific times for lunch or breakfast. My girlfriend wanted a pecan salad for later because she doesn't eat breakfast and they close at 2. Ryan was very rude to me about this order and acted like I was offending him by trying to patron this business. A salad is lettuce and few other ingredients. Thats not hard to throw together in a box. Highly disrespectful attitude from this jerk. We will not be giving our business any longer. Learn some customer service etiquette and stop working for a morning place if you're going to be a cranky sour little girl about it.
Edit: the response I received to this review was a complete cop out, it does not adress the poor attitude and rude behavior of the mentioned employee as well as I am certain I have ordered these items between 8a.m. and 11 a.m. sticking up for your staff is a noble venture if they are in fact correct but this is just not the case here. There a plenty of really fantastic local places in durango so why would I tolerate an unpleasant interaction and a "We can't do that attitude" it would make sense if I was ordering say a cheese burger or a steak etc, it was not it was a salad. Thats lettuce, and a few other ingredients thrown in a box. Please address your employee or whatever his title there is about his short attitude and sour demeanor towards...
Read moreI did a simple order to add green chili inside a burrito on a to-go for 3 burritos for my family, I call back a minute later to add one more, and they put me on hold. They did not put me on hold but just set the phone down, at which point we heard the kitchen manager Jake talking bad about me and my order. “Who wants green chili in a burrito” “Who would eat that”. So I hang up I go to pickup the order and charged $3 per burrito for the green chili. Upon trying we found they failed to put green chili in the burrito. We went back to complain to get a refund, and when getting the refund the lady Tava gave us a refund and she was very nice. However the kitchen manager Jake overheard us and said he didn’t say anything bad and that it was a “difficult” order. And we responded how is it difficult to put green chili in a burrito, when you sell it smothered. He then said we can leave and tried to square up like he was going to fight my father. My dad say to him that he should be accountable for his mistakes and not deny it, and to apologize. Jake was very aggressive and should not be working in the position of a manager these are the type of employees that should not be in this business. They have now lost our business and we have payed thousands of dollars since we are locals to this business. Avoid this restaurant like the plague because you don’t know what they may be doing to your food if they don’t...
Read moreThis little cafe is off the beaten path and doesn’t look like much from the outside, but don’t let that keep you from eating here! The food is delicious! There are several parking spaces, they have outside seating and dogs are allowed! The mountain views all around are gorgeous so I recommend sitting outside if weather permits. The atmosphere is homey and laidback. Everything is homemade country kitchen style. Due to this you should expect a little bit of a wait to get your plates, but nothing too crazy long. All the food is feel-good comfort food so come hungry! All of the waitresses were friendly and cheery. Ours had great recommendations. She even asked if we wanted to order anything for our dog lol. We ordered her a plain pancake and it was brought out on its own plate with a bowl of water. House coffee was good and HerMosa mimosas was strong and tasty. My pancakes and sausage were yummy and just what I needed to fuel up on before going hiking. I had initially ordered a side of hash browns, but they never came to our table. We were not charged for them and I ended up having enough food to eat anyways. My husband’s burrito was savory and huge! We probably could have split a burrito and the sides. We got a cinnamon roll to-go and ate it later. It tasted like it was made with sourdough and was just okay - definitely not our favorite. Overall, we would...
