Wow, what a rip-off. As far as I could tell, it is not a winery. They have some non producing ornamental grape vines in the front as fakery, but the wines served are not from here (Loveland) but from California and Washington; from a variety of vineyards. IMHO they stick their label on somebody else's wholesale wines. Their flat breads are the size of a New York pizza slice, though priced as though they are a whole pizza. Imagine taking a pizza slice and then cutting it into eight small pieces and selling it for twenty bucks! Their venue is great. A huge property on the river with lots of space between tables. Half the tables are close enough to the water where one can enjoy the river sounds. Most all the tables have umbrellas to shade you on those hot Loveland summer afternoons; ours didn't and they would not provide one, not even from a nearby unoccupied table. Though to be fair, they moved us to another table. Still no umbrella, but as the sun moved lower on the horizon we were able to get some shade. Coffee ($1.50) is delicious, as was the Sonoma Sauvignon Blanc ($28.00), though no refills on coffee - seriously?! Service is super friendly but slow as molasses, especially considering they were running at less than half capacity. Granted the girls have to walk about a quarter mile from the kitchen to the riverside tables. As an example, when our food was served and we asked for extra napkins, the napkins arrived after the meal was concluded. You can't make this up! Waste not want not - I brought the extra napkins home :) Sweet Heart Winery is more about events, and their space and pricing is more suited to that, not suited to our group of seniors. I know, I know, damned seniors. Aren't we all annoyed by them? I prefer better service, better value and a real meal for the $90 plus bucks I spent on two fancied up pizza slices. Yes, the food was delicious. I'm sure they'll let my wife come back as she left an 18% tip :) Me, after this review, I'll lay low.

My family and I visited Sweet Heart Winery during a recent trip to Colorado, and it was one of the most memorable parts of our trip. The scenery was second-to-none and the wines were outstanding. We actually liked it so much that we went twice during our time out there. A few things in particular that we loved about the winery - 1) The river area is one of the most enchanting places I've ever been to. You heard the ambient sound of the bustling water while you sip wine on the adirondack chairs. 2) The wines were amazing. This was extra surprising, as I didn't anticipate great wine in Colorado. But upon my visit, I learned that the grapes are from CA and the wine is "perfected" in Colorado. 3) The main building is a work of art, with tongue and groove construction. 4) The staff was super friendly and welcoming. The service was impeccable, and when we left, we felt like we were part of the family. 5) The winery is kid friendly! Our 8 and 10 year old had a blast!!! I highly recommend this winery and I cannot wait to visit next time I'm back in Colorado.

The staff yesterday was so rude. I came with my boyfriend and 3 of our friends, we were excited to show them the place because we had been there serval times and have really talked it up, we also wanted to show them the place we had been thinking about getting married at. We came in with a packed lunch, and our dog. We sat at a table that had a sign saying closed, that was our fault, we were trying to sit out of the way with our puppy to not bother anyone. The lady with brown hair and glasses came up to us immediately and said “okay, we have some problems here. First, you can not bring in food, it is a huge health hazard, second, this table is closed, third, you can not get in the river we can not allow anyone to get into the river, and you need to check in with the people inside” I told her we had no problem moving and asked about the packed lunch, we had come in with a packed lunch the month before and they had no issues with it then, she said that was due to Covid. She then said “got it? Thanks” And walked away.No idea why she thought we were going to hop into the river and I’ve always been able to sit wherever, wasn’t aware they had changed that policy. So we decided to just get our bottles of wine and head somewhere else. We packed our lunch and dog in the car and went in to get our bottles to go. The rude woman greeted us at the door and said “the host will seat you in a minute” my friend Amy and I went to walk to the restroom and the rude lady said “ I said the host will be with you in a minute! Did you not hear me?” I could not believe how disrespectful she was. We told her we were just going to the restroom and then grabbing wine to go and she said “k”. While we were ordering our bottles another woman told us about how a group of people out there were trying to bring in their own lunch and how against policy that was. I have no problem with policy change, especially at this time. I have no problem obeying rules businesses have in place. Most of the time I understand people have bad days, but the woman yesterday was so incredibly rude, she has made us not want to support a business that we really have enjoyed in the past. I’ve worked in customer service my whole life and would never talk to someone like that. Not looking for any handouts! Just thought the owner should know about...

Came here after a medieval festival with a turkey leg that I waited in line for 40 minutes. I purchased 2 glasses of wine with my wife with giant turkey leg in my hand.

Tried to enjoy my glass of wine and the rest or my turkey leg in the grass when I was approached by some lady who told me to throw my turkey leg away. She told me that no outside food was allowed in. This was not given in a kind or thoughtful tone. It was rude. It was meant to be embarrassing. Apparently, there are “multiple” very fine print signs saying no outside food. I responded with “This is understandable and I would have obeyed being told before I purchased wine, but this was not the case.” Which truly we would have happily gone to the car finished and then come back in to enjoy some wine. Unfortunately we were met with unkind people and embarrassment.

I proceeded to eat my turkey leg as I was almost done, and she had told a safety guy who also is apparently a wine maker to come over and continue to make a spectacle about throwing my almost finished turkey leg away.

Understandable that outside food is not allowed, but for them to serve me up front and not mention anything about it, and then to have two people make a scene to make me throw my food away just to prove a point is beyond sad. For the lady, and wine maker, we will not be coming back. Your wine is decent. Your food and wine is over priced. I used to enjoy coming to this place until today. We have had birthday parties here. We have attended weddings here. We just enjoy the environment. Until today we have always felt welcome. We love to support small, local businesses instead of buying wine from the grocery store, but this lack of kindness and customer service will be remembered and shared with others.

Last thing I want you to all think about before coming here is maybe I wasn’t treated with grace or kindness because I wasn’t dressed fancy enough. Maybe it was because I have darker skin than most there. Maybe a white guy in a polo would have been left alone. Regardless I won’t try again to find out.

They also tried to comp our wine and give us a gift card. We said no to both because one-we believe in honoring our purchase. Two-we don’t need bought off because we won’t be back. Words are important. Customer service is important. Do better. Treat...
