This is a real hidden gem of a seafood restaurant. If you’re in the aviation industry, you’re well aware of diners and restaurants at airport FBOs, but if you’re not, this is a pretty cool place right on the Centennial airport that’s worth checking out. The atmosphere and location is really cool. The food was a bit hit or miss… I had the crab dip (picture) which did not disappoint. Great flavor, served hot. When we first got seated it took a very long time before a server came to attend to us. They brought fresh bread after our appetizer which was a bit strange. It’s not that big of a restaurant so although they were full, I can’t imagine they were that busy. I ordered the Newport Seafood Pie, the person I was with had the Halibut, which was pan seared and served over herbed orzo, with asparagus and topped with a saffron beurre blanc. Unfortunately the beurre blanc was ice cold, and the vegetables and orzo weren’t particularly hot either. When the server checked in on the food, we mentioned this and to his credit, he insisted he made it right by having the kitchen refire the cold parts. Unfortunately for the SECOND time, the beurre blac came out of the kitchen STONE COLD. The chefs really hung the server out to dry there. My Newport Seafood pie had a great flavor, tons of solid seafood, huge chunks of lobster and scallops. However, the pastry was a bordering on raw in one corner. The quality standard coming out of the kitchen was not up to snuff. The food is on the pricier side, so I expect a higher standard of food and service and that really wasn’t present in the way I would hope. The service did improve greatly after we started getting food but the initial lack of attention was underwhelming. All this said, I would go back and give them a second chance. If those are there only problems, they’re a very easy fix and everything else about this place is really great. Overall good food, excellent flavors, great location and atmosphere. The issues we encountered could be a fluke and I’m pointing out the few shortfalls they did have that night. They clearly have great recipes they’re working from. The quality control in the kitchen, however, is just not acceptable. I’ll allow a mistake and not think too much of it. I’m not so pretentious that I expect a restaurant to be 100% perfect all the time, but having cold beurre blanc come out of the kitchen TWICE tells me the chefs back there just don’t care. And that’s disappointing. I look forward to going back, trying more things on the menu and seeing in the attention to detail has improved in the kitchen, because that’s the major thing that’s holding this place back from being an excellent restaurant in Centennial.

We have been coming to TPL for years. They've really gone down in the quality of food and service. We have witnessed this over the past year. When we arrived, we witnessed the manager in a confrontational conversation with another customer. Apparently he and his family requested a table. The manager said "Do you have a reservation? And don't lie to me? Well, do you?" The customer answered honestly "no". I mean, who says that? We did have reservations and got seated immediately. Our waitress was new, untrained, and not experienced enough to serve in this higher quality type restaurant. She messed up on our drinks. She didnt know that Gin and Tonics are served with a lime. She didnt understand what a Manhattan UP means and came back with it on the rocks. Then when we ordered our dinner, we also ordered a ceasar salad. The salad was served at the same time as the meal. And it was a warm salad. It must of sat in "the window" a bit too long. When we asked her about it, she blamed it on the chef. The Rib eye was good, but the creamed spinach tasted "off". The jalapeno au gratin potatoes were just ok. In the past they were really good. The Scampi pappardelle was good. Pasta tasted fresh and sauce creamy. The Beef wellington was awful. The steak inside was bloody rare and the pastry on the beef was so soggy, that it dripped off the steak. Just awful. Shame on the chef for serving that. During the dinner, I had to request a steak knife. The waitress brought it to me and "shoved it onto my plate into my pile of potatoes". Who does that? An unsophisticated waitress, that's who. At the end of our meal, she placed the bill on the table. She didn't ask us if we wanted coffee or dessert. Weird? We had to request them. We noticed that the tables were only one sitting and didn't flip for a second round of customers. Maybe this should be a tip to the management that this place isnt what it used to be. it will be a long time before we try this place again. Literally have been there dozens of times prior to this.

My family has been a loyal customer of the Perfect Landing restaurant for many years. We have celebrated family events, had date nights, and had a fun time with friends. The restaurant had welcoming service, great food, and wonderful live piano music. Unfortunately, about 18 months ago we noticed a change in guest service. Some waitresses and hostesses made us feel, instead of welcoming, as usual, that they did us a favor by finding a spot for us in their restaurant. It was hard to believe and we wrote it off on account of the restaurant's popularity and how busy they are - an incident that will not happen again. We were wrong, these were the first signals of change for the worst. Here is what happened: Last Saturday, 12/16, was our anniversary. My husband made a surprise reservation for two of us with the request to be seated near the piano and the window. This was a usual request - we love the view and the piano music. Never had any issues with reservation requests before, always seated the way we requested. We were at the restaurant at 6 pm, and the hostess asked us to wait a little bit, which is normal and we had no complaints. We were very excited and were taken by total surprise when the hostess walked us to the further corner of the restaurant, a booth located far from the piano and not near the window. The booth was U-shape and served for 4 people. Since it was our anniversary we would prefer to sit across from each other to be able to talk and toast. As soon as we realized what was going on we told the hostess about our anniversary and our request. Surprisingly we were ignored the first couple of times, she was silently trying to sit us at the table. When we repeated our request the third time she said that the only availability near the window and piano would be around 8 PM and if we would prefer we could come back at 8 PM. There were no excuses, no explanation, no apologies. She also mentioned that if we would like to talk to the manager we need to go to the front desk of the restaurant since he is really busy and does not have time to visit customers at the tables. We moved back to the front desk and waited for about 10 minutes for the manager. When the manager showed up he told us that there was no way they could sit the reservation for 6 PM near the piano and the window; and that we had been lucky every single time in the previous years when our requests were satisfied. And if we don’t want to take what they give us now, we can come back at 7:30 PM, and, maybe, they will be able to help. He wished us a Good day and left. We were standing in the hallway near the front desk on our anniversary, on Saturday night, trying to comprehend what just happened. And we couldn’t. I have never experienced restaurant service like this, I hope no one else will. Perfect Landing has become a really busy place. Why should they care about a couple of customers who made a reservation a week in advance to celebrate their anniversary? Be cautious when making reservations there, you either have to go with what they give you or will be looking for some other place, no apologies or excuses. The menu in Perfect Landing hasn’t changed much in the past 10 or more years as we've been going there. If you are looking for a chance to have a good evening there, you could be up for an unpleasant surprise. Don’t waste your time, there are much better places with people who care about you having a good time and with much better food. Thank you Perfect Landing for the previous years – it was a great place! We Will NOT be back. P.S. We were lucky and we found our new favorite place, where they were able to accept us on Saturday night, without advanced reservation, and help us to celebrate our anniversary – Del Frisco. Service is amazing there as well...

On June 2nd I celebrated my birthday at The Perfect Landing Restaurant, and unfortunately, the overall experience left much to be desired. While the food was tasty, the service was incredibly disappointing. I have been in the restaurant business for many years and have never encountered such a lackluster level of service. To begin with, the service was incredibly slow. We had to wait an unusually long time for our orders to be taken, and even longer for our food to arrive. In fact, our salads were served alongside our main dishes, which was a major disappointment. Moreover, the waiter seemed overwhelmed with too many tables to handle. This resulted in a frustrating situation where we couldn't even get wine to accompany our dinner. After our friend went up to the bar to place the order, eventually, the bartender brought out the wine, but unfortunately, their handling of the situation was far from professional. The bottle was placed rather forcefully on our table, and to make matters worse, the bartender decided to lecture my friend on his behavior. While my friend was admittedly upset, it is disheartening that he was treated like that in the middle of the restaurant in front of all of us. As a small gesture of apology, the restaurant did comp our desserts. However, the manager never took the time to speak with us about the incident, which left us feeling unheard and disregarded. When we were leaving, the bartender bid us goodbye in a snarky tone, accompanied by a smirk on his face. Such unprofessional behavior is completely unacceptable and left a sour taste in our mouths. To make matters worse, the food itself, although tasty, was served cold. The cocktails we ordered were disappointingly watered down, with the ice melting quickly. This further detracted from our overall dining experience. As someone with extensive experience in the restaurant industry, I must say that I have never encountered a staff member talking to a guest in such a disrespectful manner. It completely ruined the mood of my birthday celebration and made the entire experience thoroughly unenjoyable. In conclusion, while The Perfect Landing Restaurant offers tasty food, the subpar service we received overshadowed any positive aspects. The slow service, untimely arrival of dishes, lack of attentiveness, and the unprofessional behavior of the bartender all contributed to a disappointing dining experience. I sincerely hope that the management takes note of these issues and takes appropriate measures to improve the quality of...
