Windjammer Roadhouse Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Colorado

The Windjammer provides mediocre food with the cost of time. The food’s quality makes sense for the location. However, what is INEXCUSABLE is the lack of empathy, human connection, and lack of service. My party of 4 arrived on a Friday night at 5:30 Pm hoping to grab a moderately quick bite. Instead, we waited for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Our server, who was also the manager, didn’t give us any warning about the wait of the food, or show any sort of quality management. We were left without ketchup or any condiments and were never checked on during our wait. As leverage, she used her experience in the industry, older age, and the small kitchen as an excuse. She claimed that a 12 inch pizza took over an hour to make, which should be recognized as false. Although it is a mountain town, there should be no excuse for a lack of service and absolutely no empathy. We received no apology. In response to requesting the owner’s number, she purposely gave us the wrong phone number, and answered the phone HERSELF, further refusing to get us in contact with the owner. All we asked for was some sort of compensation or acknowledgement for the waste of time and completely terrible personnel and service. Not one apology the entire time.

Service was horrible. We walked in 3 servers were right there at the bar all of them seen us. We waited for them to either tell us to sit were we liked or to seat us, took about 2 minutes before WE ask them if we can sit anywhere and one of them said yes. Found a table sat down and waited. Server can into the room cleaned off a table went to both her only other tables. Never bothered to come take a drink order, bring menus or even say hi I'll be with you in a moment. So after about 5 minutes of this I went up to the bar, again waited for the server there to even acknowledge my presence. I finally just asked her "Do we order here at the bar?" there was a sign above the bar that said "Order here" so I thought maybe??? She looked a little put out and said where are you sitting. I pointed out where we were sitting (which was hilarious because the place ain't that big and they literally had 3 tables of customers and one person at the bar) and she said no there is a server in that area. I said ok and sat back down waited probably another 5-8 minutes with again nobody even looking at our table. No menus were brought, no drink orders were taken. So if you decided to eat here I hope you have better luck then we did. We just finally left. Service is...

The onion rings were good, as was the burger but the service sucked out loud! There was no organization when it came to which server had which section and I think we had to have gotten the worst one because we seen her a total of maybe 3x including her taking our order & bringing us 1 drink each (and no water). She wasn't even the one that brought out our food & when we asked for another drink from the girl who did bring us the food, she said she'd grab our server but again no one actual came back. We were sitting outside & ended up having to go in & find her just so we could pay. She was literally so bad we could have left without paying & she would've have even noticed until an hour later (if even then). All in all it was very disappointing experience especially considering it was recommended by a local & this was unfortunately our 1st impression. Probably won't...
