We had high expectations when we made reservations. Everything Is hard was how high end and classy it was. So my first impression was that I needed to bring my expectations down. The atmosphere was fine, but it had a lot of different vibes going on inside. Not what I pictured for high end or classy, especially when the staff was wearing jeans and tshirts. The food was good. I wouldn't rate it out of this world. Just good. Not really a fan of the mahi mahi ceviche. The cut up pieces weren't really proportionate to each other so you couldn't get all the flavors in one bit. I was impressed with the menu and all the vegan, vegetarian, dairy free and gluten free options. Having a dairy allergy it's great to look at the menu and know what you can order without having to bombard the waitress with 20 different questions that she has to take back to the kitchen. My only other disappointment was that they were extremely slow. However watching everyone it seemed like they had plenty of workers and servers. More than I've seen in other restaurants. I think we counted 15 people that we could see. That's how long we waited, enough to question if they were understaffed that we counted the staff. Long enough that when it was time to pay my bill my server didn't come around back to our table even after taking an order right next to us.

My partner and I were in town for the light show at MIS and decided to try someplace new and Atlas did not disappoint. We did have to wait 45 mins before we were seated, but the place is relatively new and I’m sure people were scoping the place out just like us. Even though it was hectic, the staff were superstars; they were very friendly and attentive towards everyone. Also, waiting wasn’t an issue because they had a wonderful, little store up front which had all sorts of snacks, wines, brews, books, clothes, and more. We bought some pretzels and sparkling mineral water while we waited, which were both very tasty. Once seated, I ordered the caprese grilled cheese and fried brussel sprouts and my partner ordered a smash burger with fries. It was all hot, delicious, unique, and comforting. In addition to this, our sever did a great job at checking in on us and we were able to still leave at a reasonable time. I highly recommend trying this place out even if just to hit up the bar; it’s very much worth it!

All of the dishes we got here were very good. The Caesar side salad alone was phenomenal and a great precursor to what was to come. The sushi inspired pokè bowl without the bowl dish was phenomenal. We didn't get to eat our chicken tikka masala fresh, because we had eaten too much of the appetizers and were full. But when we did reheat it later it was very good. The atmosphere is terrific. Plenty of light, both natural and artificial. Little bit noisy, but with the very open layout you're not going to escape that. They have an area with a number of Michigan local artisanal goods. They have a pretty chilled out library kind of section. I could see getting a drink there and reading a book being cozy. Bathrooms are clean, well lit, plenty of room. You could tell this place really tried hard, and nailed the landing. Though it feels really out of place being in Brooklyn. I hope it continues to do well. Highly recommend.

Got to the place around 7pm with my wife. Sat at the corner of the bar. We each got a drink, they were fine. Wanted to place an order for some appetizers and more drinks, took about 30 min to do that and bartender was helping others and acting like we were invisible.

Finally got to order appetizer...Wife is gluten free and asked a question about the peppers, he said he would get back to us and never heard back. I also wanted a shrimp appetizer but couldn't order it until 20 min later when we got the peppers. Peppers were good, when I finally got my shrimp, one was still frozen in the middle...very off putting.

Placed our dinner orders. Waited quite a while. New bar tender asked us how we liked our food we hadn't gotten it yet and she said, oh I thought you had. She comes back 2-3 min later. My lamb burger was atrocious. It was very well done (ordered medium) but only luke warm, bun wasn't grilled like it said and was falling apart due to grease. Wife said taco shells were soggy also. We think they forgot our food and reheated it...

$170 dollars later I'm at home with an upset stomach and I never even got to eat (our undeserved $50 cash tip included).

Don't think we will be back.

UPDATE: Wife also got 'glutened' so if you are gluten sensitive or celiac, stay away...

Everything went perfectly in a very crowded restaurant on a Saturday night! The management and serving staff was truly excellent. The decor and environment was mid-century modern stunning with gorgeous, more updated colors. Not a chartreuse or avocado green in site, but beautiful, warm terracottas & creams with pops of teal. A spectacular, immaculately clean bar, which alone was impressive. The ladies room was a treat as well! Gorgeous, intense green shiplap with a tropical salmon colored wallpaper & salmon ceilings. The real finisher was the gold accents! And I have even eaten or drank anything yet! I wanted one of every appetizer, but settled for the Peruvian chicken skewers, Mediterranean lamb meatballs & shishito peppers. All came with a delicious sauce on side. All were perfect. I also indulged in a Pear Elderflower Martini & a Gold Rush, which is now my new favorite drink. I had the most delicious ribeye, French fries and asparagus I have ever eaten. Including Ruth Chris', Morton's & Fleming. This meal topped it. Everyone loved their meals & we were all so engaged in our EXPERIENCES that I only got pics of family. Honestly, this place is worth the drive. Something for EVERYONE, done...
