Dairy Sweet — Restaurant in Columbus Junction

The place was okay, but nothing special. Almost everything on their menu was under $5 and there was lots of things, so I have to give them credit for that. I ordered the Crunch German Chocolate Spooner for $4-something with taxes. As I was eating it, I thought to myself, "Where's the chocolate?" So, I looked at what I was eating and noticed that there was hardly any chocolate in it at all, but there was a generous amount of regular Rice Krispies in it. The Spooner was good if you just like regular vanilla ice cream. I like a little bit more flavor than that, so I wasn't satisfied. I might go to this place again if I'm driving through town just to try something else of theirs because of the unbeatable prices, but I definitely won't be making any special trips here just to eat. The community surrounding Dairy Sweet are blessed. I am from Peoria, Arizona and my dad discovered this cute Midwestern ice cream shop when I was little when visiting family in Iowa. To this day whenever we go to Iowa I tell him we HAVE to stop at our favorite Midwestern ice cream shack. My favorite was their cookie dough blizzard. The ice cream is delicious and memories created there will last a life time. Thanks Dairy Sweet!

I'm going to hate to see this place shut down for the winter because it's got the best food. Everybody that works there are super friendly. I work local and when contractors come up I let them know about this place and they have always had nothing but good to say...
