Pros: - Big menu, lots of options to choose from The decor is nice. You have the option to go to an actual bar or to restaurant seating. Open till midnight, which Colville lacks in every single other restaurant. I’ve heard they have breakfast, which is a great idea. Our first waiter was a nice young guy. Good attitude and welcoming vibe.
Cons (our experience):
The table was dirty when we arrived. I was starting at a cherry stem and some chip crumbs in my spot. They brought out Fajitas for one of us when we asked for a burrito. We asked for whole beans (as it said for the burrito we ordered on the menu) and they added refried beans to the burrito once they swapped out the Fajitas. That was odd, since it was on the menu and we specifically asked for it. Forgot sour cream on a burrito, and when we asked for some, the waitress brought a bowl out 5 minutes later and hurried off without a word. Felt super awkward. Portions were a little small for the price. I can understand the restaurant likely has a lot of overhead getting started here, but the value in the meal wasn’t there compared to elsewhere. Very slow response time. Took over 45 minutes for 4 of us to receive food, and there were not very many other customers. There was a guy at the end of our meal who walked around giving us a thumbs up smiling, which was weird after having an experience that slowly went downhill.
Conclusion: If you haven’t been here yet, it’s worth trying. I wouldn’t go back unless some friends wanted to take me for drinks perhaps on a late weekend night. Didn't try the...
Read moreExtensive menu with lots of choices. Remarkably friendly and attentive service. Salsa is very good and served with fresh and light tortilla chips. Also included was a plate of cabbage style pico de gallo. Interior is clean with colorful and festive decor with many hand-painted traditional Mexican scenes on the chairs and booths. Pretty cool. Restaurant is roomy with plenty of seating.
I ordered a chicken taco and a pork tamale combination. This came with generous portions of rice and beans - actually more than I could eat. That never happens. Taco came on a bed of lettuce which kept it from getting soggy, which is nice. Typically the chef just throws the taco on top of the beans and by the time it reaches the table, it’s too soggy to even pick up. However, it was not chicken, but ground beef. Not what I ordered but still tasty. Tamale was a bit disappointing. Although good, it was half-sized and a bit dry. Again, still pretty good. Soft drink came in a big 32oz glass so you don’t have to worry about refills. All in all, a very good experience and a good value with above average service and quality food at very...
Read moreIf you’re looking for authentic flavor, warm hospitality, and a place where you’re treated like family, Rancho Grande is it! The food is absolutely exceptional—but it’s the service that will keep you coming back. Sal, the new owner, is genuinely passionate about making every guest feel welcome, and it shows.
The restaurant has ample parking and a vibrant atmosphere—every chair is painted in bright, beautiful colors that make the place feel cheerful and inviting. The full bar offers some of the best margaritas I’ve ever had, in all sizes and flavors. The menu truly has something for everyone; even my mother, who isn’t usually a fan of Mexican food, fell in love with the garlic prawns in a white wine sauce.
This is the kind of restaurant where they know your name and your order, and they can easily accommodate large parties. There’s also a pub section for those after-work drinks with friends or coworkers. I live two hours away, but I’ll definitely be back for the amazing food, the fun atmosphere, and most of all, to see Sal and his wonderful team. Ranch Grande is a true hidden gem that deserves to be packed...
