We've been traveling for months and have seen most of what Route 66 has to offer. This place is easily in my top three, maybe number one. As far as authenticity, it just doesn't get any better.

The lady who owns it has been running the place, as is, for over 40 years and is so sweet. She loves talking about the town, 66, and the history in general. From the look of it, she hasn't increased her prices in that time, either. The whole family of six got food they loved and filled their bellies for around $20. What?!

If you're traveling the Route, you owe it to yourself to check the place out, and you owe it to the cosmos to make sure this fine lady can keep the doors open for...

Just got back from Commerce Oklahoma with a stop over at the Dairy King in downtown Commerce on Main and Commerce Streets. If you haven't ate a burger there, then it would be well worth your while to give them a little stop over while on your journey down the Ole Mother Road.

My burger was fantastic, nothing over the top, just a simple double meat cheeseburger and fries at a reasonable price. She takes cash only, no plastic. So head on over to an ATM, grab your cash, and grab a meal over at...

This was everything, and more, than my wife and I expected as we traveled the E-W leg of Route 66 from Galena to Tulsa. I loved the "jumbo" cheeseburger and fried mushrooms! The tiny (although it would seat approximately 16 or so) interior brought memories of a diner in my home town my family used to enjoy back in the 60's. (Yes, I'm old) This was so much more than a stop to get our Route 66 Passport...
