The Station House 81 — Restaurant in Commercial Point

We’re new to the Commercial Point area, so prior to moving we thought we’d try out a local establishment. The service was great, the atmosphere was pleasant and my food experience was really good. Full disclosure, at the time I wasn’t eating meat, but my Mac and Cheese was creamy and flavorful and the salad was crisp and delicious. My husband got wings which he fully enjoyed and my son got the loaded fries. The fries are fresh cut and delicious! Fast forward to yesterday, and after having lost too much weight (not eating meat) and tired from unpacking, I had a taste for barbecue. This time I was ready for all Station House 81 had to offer. I got two pulled pork sliders and a brisket slider in a basket and it did not disappoint! My husband got the pork belly and it was awesome. The food was so good, I’m getting ready to call in an order for tonight to try something else. Decided to check this place out. Small time place in Commercial Point. Has 9 tables and a bar area. 2 pool tables. Music going. Plenty of Tv's. Today was slider special, buck a piece. Rachel was my waitress, super personality and more than helpful. Checked on me often and did refills often. Onion petals we're hand made with Chipotle ranch dipping sauce. Yummy. Mac n cheese was definitely home made, a blend of 3 cheeses, good flavor to it. I tried each of the sliders, chicken, pork and brisket. Pork and brisket were outstanding. Had 2 ribs which cooked perfectly and they put BBQ sauce on, not tough at all. The chicken wings were also smoked with a nice spice coating and some BBQ sauce on them. I have nothing but great things to say about this place. Our small family went here for dinner today and we were pleasantly surprised with our experience. The food was AMAZING! We actually ended up ordering a few things to go with us because it was so good. Our waitress, Carlyle was just fantastic. She was nice enough to turn cartoons on for our little one and was sure to put his order in ASAP so we could keep him content. She was also very attentive to everything we needed and suggested great dishes for us to try when we asked. I’ve never had such great service!
