A lot of variety, some fresh baked goods. Typical farmers market prices. The young lady helping out front was very pleasant and helpful while the younger lady in back doing the baking was rude and not helpful at all when I was asking questions about the area andbif they had bread and rolls. Had my husband not already paid for and went outside with our purchases, I would have put everything I had picked out back, and left. While I whole heartedly belive in supporting places like this, I also expect helpful, thankful, and kindness, from the owners. I won't go back.
I will edit my review to add that we are within an hour of this place and are very much aware of the drought. RAIN is what brought us in to begin with, it didn't ruin anything about our camping trip. Cute place, we bought a lot of things and know that in no way considered a "cookie cutter" bakery. It was the remark made about not wishing the rain away, which I didn't, and the rudeness showed to the little girl about the rolls, when she was just telling us they had some. And when I asked about another bakery or vegetable stand, the rude way that was handled was...
Read moreMy friend and I were excited to visit this store after I saw cookies they made for the Lafayette County Lincoln Dinner (a Republican celebration). We understood the store is sometimes manned and sometimes ran via video and two way convo. What we didn't understand was why the owner asked us approximately every minute over the intercom if we needed help. Even responding that we hadn't been in before and were browsing.. We felt so unwelcome and like our mere presence was a problem. None the less, we made our purchases and left. We've never been treated so suspiciously. Sad really. I wanted to love this store, but we won't be back and I won't suggest to anyone else to visit. I'll tell them our experience instead. May 11th and May 26th are the only days I have record of my visits, as I paid with debit card. The other...
Read moreI will be moving to Warrensburg come August, and a big goal I have is to shop and eat local as much as possible. While I don’t have social media accounts, I was able to publicly view the Facebook page for this business and went in with my friend on 6/26. The owner was really nice and answered all of my questions. You could tell she really knows about everything in the store and is an honest person. The atmosphere is very cute and reminds me a lot of a store my mom would take me to when I was little (I’ve been searching high and low for nostalgia). I look forward to becoming a regular at this place and trying many things from here. As for now, I’m enjoying this rainy evening here in Kansas with the adorable little candle...
