Not sure what’s going wrong by with Cascade Burgers but MAN! When you spend over $58 for two burger baskets, a fish burger and a chicken strip basket you’d expect to get pretty decent food…. Nope. Told 20 minutes- got there in ten assuming a line- food was ready- not hot but warm…. Get home to find my daughter food appears to have been consumed by someone- husband calls, argues with the gal and now I’ve been here waiting for five minutes at the window only to be completely ignored…. So thanks for the cold food, half eaten food and terrible service! We have repeatedly tried to give them a chance as this is a small community- but no joke- every time we have gone here the past couple of years there’s been some issue- we reached out to them privately via email and phone calls - but short story long- instead of replacing the meal that looks like somebody had eaten out of it they gave me literally one chicken strip. I am reporting this to the health department and I feel that everybody needs to be aware of this… I did ask to speak to the manager and was told they don’t have a manager and that the owner isn’t there… Somebody name Alicia came to me from the grill and yelled at me I hope this was on video. I would never recommend this...
Read moreWe were hungry on our way to the North Cascade Mountains so we decided to give Cascade Burgers a try since we saw the outside full of cars and people (good indicator that is good or it's the only place in the area).
Cascade Burgers is a very small and quaint little gem in the town of Concrete. It even has a drive-thru. Once inside, it's like you stepped back in a 50's diner. They have many Elvis memorabilia, 50's posters, booths, tables and chairs and even a juke box. It has such a wonderful atmosphere and the girls taking the orders and cooking are all delightful. The place is clean and well managed.
On the menu, they have a variety of burgers to choose from, hotdogs, chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders, salads, fries, onion rings, milk shakes and even ice cream. We ordered two burgers, fries and chicken tenders.
We received our order quickly despite it was full. The sandwiches were big and they tasted delicious. The fries were also very good and the chicken tender was given a big thumbs up from our chicken tender expert (child). Everything was very fresh and tasty.
We would highly recommend Cascade Burgers to anyone in the area of Concrete or on the way to the mountains. Give it a try...you will love it...your tummy...
Read moreDriving west on Hwy 20 from Twisp on an empty stomach was not a good idea. But without internet connect along Hwy 20, we had to go by memory. Previously, we noticed a burger place right opposite to Silo Park, and they seem to have a regular flow of customers. We thought that a diner should be a safe place for food and both ordered mushroom burgers. This is no ordinary diner, they like to mess with their food. There were no mention on the menu that they would use a secret garlic sauce or anything of that kind, I didn't think to ask for no garlic. The burger came nice and hot, I noticed the garlic on first bite. It may have been in the mushroom or it may have been the sauce?? But it added a rather unpleasant taste which wrecked the burger and my enjoyment of it. Worse still, I started getting stomach cramps from the garlic, and I thought I was going to have to stop in a rest stop for quite a while. I guess if I had remembered my previous research, I would have remembered Double Barrel BBQ in Sedro-Woolley and the nice egg plus meat breakfast options – only 27 minute west. So, at least now I won't have to wonder about what the burgers at Cascades are like and if we come again, I must remember to ask...
