Silver Bell Ice Cream — Restaurant in Conemaugh Township

On a gal's road trip and in "need" of a treat. Saw this ice cream venue and we "had" to stop. So glad we did. While we waited for someone to service us at the window, we encountered two women seated at a table and asked what they would recommend. One said they didn't know, they were waiting on their order, but did indicate they ordere the upside down banana split. They also offered up for us to be patient as there was only one person working this Sunday. Well, once their orders arrived, my girlfriend and I definitely opted for the same upside down banana split served up on a cup. It was HUGE, and, seriously, we could have (should have) ordered only one between us and shared. It only cost 5 dollars. With soft vanilla and chocolate ice cream, bananas, strawberries, pineapple, and whipped cream (i had them skip the cherry), it was very yummy. I love to come here with my family. However, on the last visit around 7pm the place was very busy, lots of small children as well. There were a number of people in need of the use of the restroom. However, the door was locked and no one could use it. One parent took her children around to the back of the building. My question is why would you close your restrooms for your customers during a very busy time with people there with their families. Some folks ended up leaving so they could get to a bathroom. I just feel like that was poor service and very inconvenient for the needs of your customers. Maybe look into cleaning the restrooms during a very slow time for business or after you are closed for...

One can get ice cream anywhere but you will not find a group of people that will go above and beyond to make you happy as well as ensure that you enjoy each bite.

I have always been a fan of the fresh fruits in my ice cream. I had gone for surgery on my jaw and my family wanted to stop anyway! The lady quickly realized that I wasn’t having any. Because we go there often and said I had surgery but I don’t want a plan ice cream. She remembers me loving the fruit. She quickly went to another area of the restaurant.

She came out with a fruit melody for me and she made it in such away that I could enjoy a nice treat too.
