Trail Pizza and Subs — Restaurant in Conewago Township

Trail pizza came in and took over where Paradise Pizza used to be. I was hopeful when they took over that they would either be owned by the same people who owned Paradise or at least the food quality and flavor would have stayed the same. Unfortunately, I can't say that that is the case. I have seen reviews for this place saying how amazing it is and how good the food is and each person has their person opinion and inquire taste pallete.

I am one of the few in the reviews that will say I don't find the food to be good. We tried them the first week that they opened and we do office lunches on Fridays so we all buy lunch from the same place. First go at this place we order 2 LG pizzas one of them being a cheese pizza and the second begin half ham half pepperoni. Now most places when you order a half topping you get charged either half the price of each topping or just simply the same price as 1 topping. Not here. We were charged for 2 full toppings on a pie that head half a topping of each. The pizzas didn't taste well and there was something off about the sauce where everyone that ate it thought it tasted bitter.

We tried going again a few weeks ago and decided to give them another shot. This time we each ordered a sub and we collectively ordered 1 LG chess pizza. Ran into the same issue with the pizza and the sauce and I ordered a fried chicken sub and I got what looked like small frozen chicken nuggets that were baked for a few minutes and thrown into the sub. I NEVER Complain..

1st time I ordered: 60+ dollars for x2 pizzas and burnt garlic knots..

I think to myself, maybe this was a fluke as I am new to the area and really wanted to give the place a chance as the pizza was decently good..

2nd time I ordered: (think to myself, ok stay small this time) x2 Med pizzas. 44 dollars..

Here's the next problem: 1 hour into that order, I call and politely ask: "is my order is ready or on the way by chance?" And get told "it's already on the way". 1 hour and 30 minutes into my order I call back and tell them politely to cancel my order and refund my money to which I hear: "Hey, so (insert address), they don't want it any more, they want to cancel their order", which makes me question if they were truly ever even making my order to begin with.. I ask this because being 1.4 miles from my address, 4 mins according to GPS, would lead me to believe it shouldn't take an hour and ahalf to deliver x2 medium pizzas that cost 44 bucks.

I buy pizza ALL the time, but this is the LAST time they will ever...

I have been getting pizzas here off and on for 20 years. Through different managements and owners, there have been good and bad moments. I just bought a cheese pizza, half vegetable; and fries. I was told it would be ready in thirty minutes. I got there in 25 minutes and it was boxed and on the top of the oven. When I got it home and opened the box, my half cheese half veggie was actually 3/4 vegetable pizza. Worse, it was cold to the touch and greasy. I live less than a minute from the store. The fries were just okay, but cold. We will try again in a year or two, but for $30, this was far from worth the experience and I may stick with 83 Pizza. It is a much better tasting pie and...
