Smokin' J's CCI — Restaurant in Conneaut Township

I went to concert Friday night here and I was so impressed! It was a packed house 'standing room only' because of concert,but they managed to get you a cocktail within minutes,I was thinking it would take these bartenders 30 min to get people drinks due to flow of people, but not here! The bartender girls were pure professionals and I was so impressed watching them keep the flow going. I ordered 4 different cocktails,everytime yelling over the party goers having fun ,to my surprise the girls took every drink request in stride, which involved various parts of this large bar to access the liquor. The bar had several sides and large space in middle connecting bar/restaurant very smart design, because hundreds, if not thousands of drinks went out this night and as the bartenders crissed and crossed the area, I liken it to a dance floor involving multiple dancers switching partners as they dance,-because as one bartender slid to the right, then step to the left as not to hit another collecting my bottles for long-island ice tea, then with all bottles going up to pour my drink a slight pause, as another girl dipped below the bottles to fetch mixer then a second later she tipped all the bottles downward making my tea(🔥 fyi). Even bottles on the Top shelf reminded me how easy it is to spin a lady out on the dance floor because I'm 6'7"🤪, I'd see an arm stretched to grab bottles, then another bartender going underneath just in passing with her drink to other side of bar- like a couple that can "two step" to any country song looking good out there on dance floor! 'Rebel' the cool and collective owner of this Funtime place showed his bar experience and mixed up some drinks for a few songs(some got two left feet ,😜 but the good bartenders knew how to add him to the line dancing, not everyone can two step! They all kept the goodtime flowing and made it look 👍 So glad to have visited,because it reminded me of back home in Houston,Texas, the kind of place we're everyone goes Friday night with dancing,live entertainment, impressive bartenders and several good looking staff members(y'all know 😜),which all stood out due to matching shirts worn. The main level of smoking J's is upstairs half restaurant and half bar ,the next level going down was made up of tables a seats with nice view of concert stage, then last set of stairs led to big backyard with nice wood fence and tents with "Beer gals and shooters with hooters"then concert stage in back part of huge yard, This Place is straight 🔥 Fire🔥 Friday night!!! Our 1st experience was beyond terrible! We arrived at 6pm on wing night. Ordered wings, a burger and pretzels. 7:45 rolls around and.....nothing. They comped our drinks. The couple next to us, that came in at 7 recieved their food before us! Finally the food arrived and it was cold! My sons beer cheese for his pretzels was dried up. My daughters burger was dry as if it was sitting. We should have just left like we wanted to at around 7 because we ended up not eating hardly any of the food and still paying 50% of the bill. Because "that's the best they could do." We won't be returning and will not be recommending this place to friends and family. In fact the people who recommended this place told us they will no longer be returning because of this and the fact that management never owned up to the their horrible service and state of the food. It was obvious that the food sat like they forgot about us. The bathrooms were both out of paper towels. They were filthy. We had to go to the bar, wait, order and carry out our drinks because the waitresses were ignoring everyone sitting outside. Too bad because the atmosphere is exactly what we like. Terribl experience. Would not recommend. Sat at the bar on the side closes to the door. Took 20 minutes for the bartender to even acknowledge we where there, even though he walked past multiple times. Ordered 2 beers and asked for menus. Waiting an additional half hour and bartender never came to take our order, even though he constantly was throwing away beer bottles right in front of us. Decided to cash out, took 20 minutes to get someone to even acknowledge that we were trying to pay. Waitress took our money since bartender disappeared. Waitress could not even run the machine to cash us out. Another bartender who replaced the one who disappeared was half drunk and swearing in front of costumers. Finally got cashed out and walked out the door, where we bumped into the original bartender making out with his girlfriend or wife. He said I got to get it when I can and never apologized. Place had a decent amount of costumers, and saw multiple tables order food in the hour we were there but not one of those tables had received their food. Terrible...
