I went to try El Cubano, the pastelitos left a bad taste in my mouth, they were old and tasted stale and very dry, I also try the (chicken) empanadas, THEY WERE HARD AND THE MEAT WAS DRY AND FALLING APART, also had croquetas that tasted like it was fried in old oil. If you want real Cuban food DO NOT COME HERE you'll be disappointed. The one start is for the cold soda.

So good!! We always Google search for small mom and pop restaurants on our trips. We love supporting small businesses. We had the pork sandwiches, burrito cubano and ham and cheese. Wow, they were so freaking crunchy and the meat was so tender. Onions gave the sandwiches amazing flavor and texture.

Unassuming Cuban cafe with good food and large portions! The lunch special with ground beef, black beans, rice, and plantains was tasty. Will definitely return to try one of their empanadas. Support local small businesses!

I really wanted to love this place. It looked and felt authentic when I walked in. But in my opinion if you are going to pay almost $11 for a cuban sandwich (no sides, not even a handful of papas fritas!) then you better deliver the goods. I had high hopes when I ordered, because I was not asked how I wanted it.. long story short is that Cubano's are made ONE WAY. If you add lettuce, onion or tomatoes, etc. it is NOT a Cubano. They get an extra star in this review for not asking me how I wanted it.

Unfortunately, my sandwich fell a little short of my expectationsafter such a glorious start. The meats on the sandwich had zero seasoning. I mean not even salt. No taste at all, and that was the biggest disappointment. Slow roasted cuban pork can be a thing of beauty and mouth watering...however this just had zero flavor! Another quirk is that I don't think I got cheese. At least I couldn't detect any salty creaminess and I could not see any when I looked inside. In my opinion the pickles should be a little more abundant in a good Cubano as well. The ones on this sandwich were few and sliced so thin you could see through them.

So to break it down, they get a single star for the tired overpriced sandwich, another star for not asking how I wanted it made, and the final star for the AMAZING shot of cuban coffee! This my friends was a big HELL Yes! Fresh brewed and delicious! Almost worth giving this place another shot...

Stopped in to pick up some lunch 8/23/23. Ordered 2 potato balls cuban sandwich and guava pastry... I noticed a faint weird smell but thought nothing of it paid 20 buck and left to share with wife at home.. my small drive home the food or something had my car smelling so bad I literally put the windows down... Walking in the door my wife smelled fast as I walked past her with "what is that smell"? I know cuban food being born in West Palm Beach and had it many times... I tried to dial the place back but they didn't answer the phone. The smell was of death rot or something that makes you gag... The food literally went into the garbage and the garbage immediately went to the outside can.. I could smell the smell on my clothes. I honestly feel they might know what happed, maybe spoiled meat or something but literally death rot is what seemed to be the smell absolutely disgusting I will never return to this place and feel I need to dial the health inspector to...

Our first time stopping in to this wonderful restaurant. Authentic Cuban delicacies. They open at 7:30 am for breakfast and close at 4:00 pm. We arrived at lunch time and ordered a Cuban sandwich and the daily lunch special. A huge sandwich stuffed with pork, cheese and ham. The daily special offered a choice of white or yellow rice, with black beans, chicken, beef or pork and your choice of several starches. The portions were huge! Neither of us finished our lunch - there will be yummy leftovers for tomorrow. We took two guava pastries home for later. All in all, excellent choices of authentic Cuban food, reasonable prices, and very friendly service. Inside are several tables plus a picnic table outside in the shade. We will definitely be back to try other delicious sounding breakfast and...
