Hard Yacht Cafe — Restaurant in Dundalk

October 2022, not too busy on a Saturday morning. Brunch has served until 11:45. Dad had shrimp and crab omelet which you raved about and I had the breakfast bowl which was pretty good except I was expecting scrambled eggs mixed in instead of just like an omelet egg late on top of the other ingredients. I ask them to hold the bacon and give me scrapple instead and it was quite good. Sausage gravy on the side was a good call, the sausage was good in the gravy but gravy itself is a little sweet southern style which is not my thing. Shrimp salad sandwich (pic) was real good. But hard to keep the shrimp from falling out. Cajun Shrimp Stir Fry (2023 summer special) over rice was fantastic. Oozing with butter tho, so don't order it every time! Next visit I had seared tuna bites I asked for raw in the middle and it was perfectly cooked. Nice seasoning on the outside. Good char grill flavor. Vegetarian wife got their new buffalo cauliflower wrap and she liked it. We shared the Apple crumble pie. We were surprised that it was cold in the middle as if it had just been taken out of the fridge. We asked them to heat it up and they did much improved. Still kind of strange that they're serving apple...

Pros: -Tasty food and awesome portions. I got like a 1lb burger medium rare, and that thicc boy was cooked perfectly. -Our waitress and the extra help were on point. Not only did they consistently check on us, but they they kept the oitside dining area clean and were super friendly.

Cons: -My provided chair was broke and super uncomfortable. The restaurant was packed and I did not ask for another chair because I just assumed they were uncomfortable. They seemed like 20 dollar plastic folding chairs. Mine for some reason dipped slightly to far forward, and I kept sliding on it. Now I know you thinking, "This boy just got a 1lb burger. Maybe chungasaurus is the reason it broke." I promise I'm not that heavy, and it was broken when I first sat down. -My burger was ordered with bacon and came out with none. It took like 25 minutes to get our food, so I wasn't trying to wait another 10 for bacon, so I ate it. It was easily a 5/5 burger, but it still didn't have what I ordered. The waitress did take it off the bill with no issue.

All in all, it's a great place to eat. They made a mistake on my meal, but I will raise them to 5 stars if the next visit is better....

Went there on a Sunday for a stake Sammie. We waited 1 1/2 hours for food. understandable since Sunday and there was also a band. the waitress was very nice and very attentive when it came to service. When I got food the steak was 2/3 fat. Talked to the manger Vince and told him how the steak was over cooked and half of it was fat. He at first said “oh well”. He said there was nothing left so it must of been ok. I only was able to eat the bread and condiments due to staving because of the long wait times there was still half of the steak on the plate. He said “I’ll give you half off” my mother stepped in and said the exact same thing and then he told her that he’ll comp the meal. At no point was I being rude and just trying to explain the issue. He was very rude. Saw another couple have a similar issue and again Vince was being rude as hell to the guy but once the lady stepped in he pulled a 180. Seems like the manager Vince needs some better training or something. No reason to be so rude to one person over the other, especially when it’s something so simple and little. definitely...
