Google Maps & Yelp both failed me, so we stopped to ask a duo of local police officers where we would find the best place to eat in town. Lagneaux's (pronounced LAN-yo's, if you're not from around here) was definitely the answer to what we wanted! We walked in, not quite sure what to expect at this seafood buffet, & were greeted by SEVERAL of the waitresses. We were seated at a table for 6 (5 in our party) in a room that was already almost full of people. (This place is very large & can hold an ample amount of patrons.) The atmosphere was laid back, nice, & family-friendly (my youngest child was screaming for a couple minutes & everyone around was so very understanding about it). Our waitress - I could have sworn she said her name is Hunter, but I had a screaming kid, so maybe not - quickly brought our drinks, told us about the specials, gave us a few tips for working the menu, & disappeared right on time. The buffet had a shockingly wide variety of seafood. We sampled everything & were disappointed by only one dish - a fish soup-like something-or-other, which was already something we don't eat, anyway. It likely would have been a great dish for someone who doesn't have an aversion to fish IN a soup - I just prefer mine FRIED. Our waitress refilled drinks just before they were empty (perfect timing) & quickly. The sweet tea is so good here! It isn't the sweetest I've had, but it complements all the rich seafood very well! Everything was cooked perfectly. I have not been this impressed by a restaurant in - well, maybe EVER. While the prices were a little higher than some places, it was very worth the money. Of course, it isn't a place we would be able to visit often as our bill totaled $70 for 2 adults, 1 child, & 2 toddlers. The service was impeccable. I believe that alone can make or break a dining experience, no matter how good the food is. You're in good company at...

My friend and I share a birthday and heard this was a great restaurant. We went with my friends parents. We got the buffet. I had only one plate because I’m a slow eater. I liked the corn bisque? I was very turned off by many of the other foods. Everything was just way too fried. They did not have a good salad bar. It was maybe plain lettuce and sweetened cucumbers? I would have loved shredded carrots, peppers, broccoli, and olives. I don’t know. Just a variety. My friend’s dad felt awful after eating there and couldn’t eat anything for the whole day or even the next. They don’t have any labels on their foods and because there was no one to ask and I can’t eat pork/sausage, there were a lot of dishes I had to stay away from. In addition, they served the tiniest bits of fried shrimp I have ever seen. Some of their onion rings were raw. It was embarrassing. Everything was fried this or fried that. It was over $100 for the four of us. I felt so bad because it was my friends dad who paid and we didn’t like the food. We should have noticed something was wrong after a couple of other patrons sat next to us, ordered food, and left their food as is. They seriously did that. Their food had only a couple of bites taken from it and they were gone! I honestly would have joined them. I’m so upset at my experience because it was very expensive. This is the most expensive buffet I’ve ever been to and it was terrible and the food makes you feel awful. I’m just so very upset about it. Anyone who eats there and actually likes it I feel bad for because they don’t know what...

Previously, I gave this place 4 stars, however, this time I give it 1 star. If thereis zero starsy I am goning to give it zero. -Boild crabs were rotten. uneatable, and everything is tooo salty. like eating salt -dirty place, floor is dirty -restroom soap was empty. -The waiters are friendly and good. However, the welcoming staff are not welcoming you at all Only boild shrimp, seafood jambalaya, shrimp penny pasta, and salads are eatable and good. The rest is not eatable at all. -Very bad that the food is tooo salty, you feel that you eating salt in different shapes.

worst thing for this visit Crabs were very bad, most of them like rotten and empty inside and smells very bad. I feel so bad after eating them, stomach pain and overall bad feeling. I am so sad that the place that had very good crabs before and I came there to try them again, now the worst crabs I had ever I...

Took my wife, daughter and son here while passing through Louisiana. First off, my daughter and son do not like the smell, taste or texture of seafood and my wife doesn't care for spicy, but they were gonna take one for the old man. My son loved the fries, fried shrimp, fried chicken. Daughter liked the gumbo, loved the etouffee, fried catfish, fried shrimp, onion rings and fries. My wife liked the gumbo, fried shrimp, fried chicken, etouffee, onion rings, and a few other things. I tried a little of everything, no joke. There was nothing I didn't like. Shrimp etouffee is now my favorite! I had boudin for the first time and loved it. I'll find some pics, but I hope to get back there one day and would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone on I-10 near, Lafayette, LA. -- update, I found one good pic. Doesn't do the place justice.
