New owners are knocking it out of the park. The food, service, and overall ambience was a warm respite from the wet and icy NW weather. Everything here is made from scratch and it’s easy to tell. We had the beet salad (we were told the chef had actually pickled/prepared the beets himself, again, all from scratch, even the dressing!), tomato soup, veggie egg benedict, hamburger made with local beef, warm apple toast with raspberry compote cooked with port wine, and topped with house whip cream, and a sausage strata. This food is made with experience (we read the biography of the father/son chef duo… impressive) by a wonderful staff that look like they all enjoy working there. Our waitresses were welcoming. Happy people produce happy customers. We are very happy customers and will be frequenting this wonderful gem many more times!

Lakehouse Bar and Grill Located at 3998 Loon Lake, WA Call prior to arriving as their schedule varies. Lakehouse is a quaint, modern/rustic, family friendly place both locals and lake visitors go to for a great meal. They have a varied menu that changes often so you might want to call ahead to inquire as to what the menu offers that particular day. Hours vary. The food, friendly service and environment are all great. They have a separate bar downstairs and a beautiful outdoor patio and stage in the back. The Garlic Shrimp Rice Bowl was fantastic! Full of sweet yellow & red peppers, red onions, zucchini, mushrooms and a light but tasty sauce. The Beet Salad was another great dish. Chilled beets on a bed of arugula, covered in crumbled feta & macadamia nuts with a really nice balsamic drizzle. Yum! Give them a try!

We had several friends who told us that we needed to try this place. It had been remodeled and renovated. It is clean and inviting. They are several tables and it is totally separate from the bar which is located down stairs. The restrooms are very clean and modern. And the food was excellent. The portions were huge and we used takeout boxes to enjoy another meal at home. We had the teriyaki chicken and the beef stroganoff. If there was any drawback it was in the stroganoff that did not have a lot of beef. What there was very tender and tasty. We did not try any desserts. If you are going through loon lake give it a try. But don't be in a hurry as each meal is cooked after you order it, so enjoy a leisurely dinner in a pleasant atmosphere and reflect on your day.

We have been to dinner multiple times sine they opened. Our first meal was cold. The next time we went my husband had cod and he said it was good and I had what was supposed to be chicken Alfredo the noodles we undercooked and the sauce was so thick i couldn't even stir it in. We waited a few weeks and decided to try it again....bad idea. We both ordered there drink special after waited 20 plus minutes the server arrived with 1 drink that was tossed onto the table and she ran off. After another long wait she came back and we let her know we ordered 2 drinks and after an eye roll she got another one. We ordered an appitizer and both ordered burgers. The food arrived and no appitizer when I asked about it she said she would get it. I told her we no longer wanted it but be sure not to charge us for it. When we got the bill it was on there. So we had to go thru the hassle of the bill being fixed. We went back o e last time last year and another horrible experience. Now that it is a new year and we hear there are new cooks we decided to give it another try. I had a French Dip and fries it was greasy and bland. My husband had a Mushroom burger and potato salad. He said the burger was O.K. and the potato salad warm ( hope he doesn't get sick) the only good thing i can say is we did get our appitizer...

So my wife checked the hours before driving up to loon lake... Open till 9pm it said. We get to the place at 720 to locked doors most of the lights were off but a lady was moving around.. then someone was leaving so we asked are they open? And the waitress popped out and said yes we are open but you have to eat downstairs... We then heared the staff saying well that didn't work.. yep trying to close early ON A FRIDAY! Then the food is supposed to be higher end dinning and well the burger I had was good but my Caesar salad was horrible just the bottom portion of the lettuce.. and the dressing was not very good.. I wanted fries but they don't made those so I settled for this limp lettuce end salad. Even my wife was disappointed in my salad.. she had the Mac and Cheese with a chicken breast and it was ok but to be honest my wife makes a better Mac n Cheese... Needless to say I don't know what happened to the Lake House we use to go to but it's changed and well we won't be back and that's to bad because it use to be fantastic... But it explains why the dive bar next door was so packed.. sorry we ruined your plans of going...

This place is a hit and miss with the food and staff. We live here in Loon Lake and the last time we went here my burger was cold. They can't coordinate 2 different dinners. Hubby ordered the pizza and I ordered the burger. Pizza takes 14 minutes, so I'm guessing they cooked mine at the same time. So my burger sat on the side waiting for the pizza. They also had ran out of mustard, to which the downstairs bar server had taken an attitude with me about it when she brought up the last drop of the downstairs mustard. Tell your customers when you're out of something, so they don't order the menu item. There's a Dollar General a block away that sells mustard for $1, but I guess making your customers happy is not your priority... The service is terrible, even when there is only 3 tables being served in there. The waitress ALWAYS hangs out in the kitchen and doesn't attend to her tables. When the owner is not around the staff could care less. For some reason they constantly have a turnover of waitstaff here.. Would I go...
